Great products, terrible customer service. I realize businesses are short staffed so I never want to leave a bad review because, being celiac, I'm so grateful for this place. But today was the final straw.
Every time I travel east, I stop in and take a big order out to my celiac family. I stopped in to place the order. I asked what time they opened tomorrow and the girl at the front cash register (Rachel, if her apron was accurate), snapped "what?!?!" I asked again. "8am" she replied. I said, great, I'd like to place an order to pick up. She replied, "no'. I thought she was kidding so I said, "I'd like to get a quiche and....". She cut me off and said, "We aren't taking an order for you. You can come in and order or use Door Dash.". I said, "What?! Even for a quiche?".
I put all the products down except one and went back to pay. I said, "This is the strangest interaction I've ever had here.". She replied, "If you're coming to take, like, a non-cooked quiche, I could take that. But I'm not just taking an order for quiche with the greens and everything else.". I told her that was exactly what I was ordering, that I typically spent about $300 to take products east and she lost the sale. She said, "good for you."
Wow.
I was so happy walking in there today, looking forward to gluten free goodies. In a friendly city, a miserable interaction like this stands out.
