Review of Grill Marks

I really wanted to like this place. The press is great and looking at the options on paper its got so much. The execution on the other hand was seriously meh... We ordered the pick 3 app(because I was super excited about fried food)fried pickles, fried onion rings, and fried green tomatoes. The breading fell off of each thing. The pickles and tomatoes were ok, nothing special. The onion rings were bad. They were hard and lukewarm. I ordered a build your own burger on a gluten free bun with grilled onions, mushrooms, garlic, and bacon cooked medium. It was more medium well and the edges were dry. There was 1.5 pieces of bacon and not much on the other toppings. My Husbands burger was also overcooked and dry. The worst part was I asked my server if the barbecue sauce was gluten free and he said he didn't know but could check. He walked 5 ft away and asked someone who told him they didn't know either because it was made in house. He then came and told me it had gluten in it after not checking the ingredients or actually finding out. I guess it was better than getting glutened, but still very disappointing. Also, it was hot and loud... Very disappointing for my Bday dinner..
