Ground Round

Highway 3 in "north" Farmington. I was very impressed. Separate GF menu, and the staff takes it seriously.

My daughter has celiac ; the server actually understood the differences between celiac and intolerant and "gluten-free by choice" and brought up herself. She volunteered for and arranged for the kitchen manager to fix our daughter's meal in a separate area, wearing gloves, as opposed to the usual cook. And our daughter's meal was brought out by said kitchen manager with gloves; the same kitchen manager brought a GF meal to another table while we were there, do it appears they keep a dedicated "GF prepper" around all night.

I didn't expect this kind of service at a little "small town" restaurant. And while we all know Ground around isn't winning any culinary awards anytime soon, my family was satisfied with their food. But more importantly for our purposes, our daughter loved her GF meal, we all felt well afterwards, and we appreciated the staff's knowledge.

Oshkosh Location ONLY- Great server, great atmosphere ! So if you have no allergies , you will be great ! Sadly, they brought out my cheeseburger, I asked two different times if this was a gluten free bun because it just looked different. She assured me it was safe to eat. After eating half my burger , I noticed it looked like my father-in-laws regular burger….. I spent my evening vomiting and excruciating stomach pains. My 6 year old has celiac and I will never put our safety in their hands again!

Save yourself the trip. Waitress knew nothing, all they offer is a gf bun as bread. They don’t have a gf menu. The service was also lacking severally and taste was bland to say the least.

I ordered a filet of sirloin for a conference at the attached hotel. The chef came out and talked to me and went over the dinner with me. I had also called the establishment before the dinner to be sure everything would be safe. Everything tasted good and had did not have a reaction. Pleasantly pleased.

Took our adult daughter to GR and she ordered a salad off their ‘separate’ GLUTEN FREE menu. An hour later she was terribly sick!! We expected so much better - Ground Round is definitely a HARD PASS for us from now on.
