Highway 3 in "north" Farmington. I was very impressed. Separate GF menu, and the staff takes it seriously. My daughter has celiac ; the server actually understood the differences between celiac and intolerant and "gluten-free by choice" and brought up herself. She volunteered for and arranged for the kitchen manager to fix our daughter's meal in a separate area, wearing gloves, as opposed to the usual cook. And our daughter's meal was brought out by said kitchen manager with gloves; the same kitchen manager brought a GF meal to another table while we were there, do it appears they keep a dedicated "GF prepper" around all night. I didn't expect this kind of service at a little "small town" restaurant. And while we all know Ground around isn't winning any culinary awards anytime soon, my family was satisfied with their food. But more importantly for our purposes, our daughter loved her GF meal, we all felt well afterwards, and we appreciated the staff's knowledge.
address listed was incorrect. Correct address is 20700 Chippendale ave w, Farmington. Nice family restaurant. separate gf menu. Wait staff friendly and knowledgeable.
Gluten Free menu and Redbridge Gluten Free beer
One of the very few restaurants in the area that offer gluten free french fries, outstanding nachos and many more options. They have a "real" menu so it takes the guess work out for gluten free guests. As with everywhere you go, make sure to specify "gluten free" so the cooks and wait can prepare the food properly!
They have great service and a pretty extensive gluten free menu. The food was delicious! I had a salad (no croutons) and Cajun grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. However, I'm almost positive there was some cross contamination based on the fact that I became sick within about a half hour of eating here. It wasn't as bad as if I flat out ate something breaded etc, but it was bad enough that I knew something was off and I had to come to my hotel and take some medicine and rest. I would be extra careful here if you have celiac.
My son and I both have celiacs and were excited when Ground Round introduced its gluten free menu. Unfortunately we tried ordering from it about half a dozen times between the 2 of us and we were sick every time (celiacs sick-hits the day after and lasts a week). On my 2nd to last visit, I spoke with the manager who was "shocked" and then he went to the kitchen and said he discovered the cooks were not using the gluten free bbq sauce. He assured me my food would be prepared properly and when it came, it had a big ole slice of texas toast on it. The manager then made my meal himself and no problems. Next visit, the waitress rolled her eyes when I ordered my gluten free steak. It was brought to me with breaded onion things on top. I told her I would need a new steak and she took it to the kitchen and returned with my "new" steak a minute or so later. Needless to say I did not eat it and have not gone back. I feel they are resentful of the gluten free crowd and no amount of niceness or complaining is going to fix that- but I sure gave them more chances than they deserved!
Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Took care to prevent cross contamination. Their menu warns that there is always a risk for cross contamination in their kitchen. However, we had a great experience and neither my son or I (we both have celiac) had any issues.
horrible service brought out bread on plate gave them multiple chances but got sick every time
I love their gluten free breakfast menu! They have pancakes!!! It is very good and different from the usual gluten free breakfast options. I live in OshKosh and will drive out of my way just for their breakfast since the OshKosh branch doesn't offer gluten free breakfast
Can't beat the yummy fries and burgers. Gluten free menu.
They don't have a super extensive gf menu, but there are some standard options, including bunless burgers. I ordered blackened chicken breasts with steamed broccoli and a plain baked potato with olive oil on the side. The waitress was really nice about checking with the chef to make sure my meal would be free of gluten, dairy, egg, and vinegar. The chicken wasn't quite as blackened as I'd expected and the food was a little on the bland side, but the important thing is that I didn't have any food reactions after eating here. I will return knowing that I can have a meal here without getting sick.
There are a number of gluten free options, with selections in most categories (salads, beef, chicken, fish/seafood, pork). I had the ribs which were pretty good. The grilled asparagus was good as well but the other roasted veggies had a taste that reminds me of cooked frozen veggies. Overall I would say that for someone that is not super sensitive to cross contamination or who doesn't have additional corn, soy etc... issues, it is a good option. I'd be leery with a celiac diagnosis though. They have the standard disclaimer about they try their best but...
Pleasant service, Gf menu on back of main menu. Double checked that my dish was dairy free at my request.
Offer a Gluten Free menu, but I've had to really explain and emphasize the importance to ensure there is no cross contamination. Generally I get a burger with a salad on the same plate (otherwise the burger comes alone one a huge plate and looks funny-- its all in the presentation...) limited choices (popcorn is GF) and depending on the staff will depend on the knowledge base of GF.
