Guapo's Restaurant

Their menu is extremely misleading. The note at the bottom says that items marked GF can be made with corn tortillas and substituted with white rice and black beans. In actuality, there are maybe 5 GF marked items on the menu.

The chips are made in a shared fryer and not safe. The waiter had no clue what I was asking and thankfully the manager happened to be walking by so I could ask. When I ordered one of the GF items on the menu, I asked for it to be marked for celiac and got a blank stare until I finally said gluten allergy. When the manager came by again, I asked for the same and he said he’d take care of it.

I ended up not having any issues, but it was a lot of extra effort. The chicken was dry and bland. The margarita was delicious though.

Food was bland. They used mozzarella in the enchiladas which was very odd. And then....I got extremely ill. Has to be gluten related because my bf split the food with me and he felt fine. Do not recommend!

Gf menu. The manager knew exactly what i needed but the staff was unsure. I ordered something small but it was good.

Before we received menus I asked if the nachos were GF and was told yes- we ordered them and got situated. A good 10 minutes before we got menus or water even though it was literally us an one other table. Nachos were not on the GF menu, and I asked why he said because they had chicken and cheese on them. We walked out then and there. Incompetent and unsafe.

had a great meal. this was my favorite place before my celiac and nice to know my family can still come here. GF menu, great food. didn't get sick at all.

Called to get information about GF and asked questions about food prep. I asked for a manager as the person on the phone couldn't answer my questions. The manager told me I should eat elswhere when I told her that food sharing the same fryer is not gluten free. Sent an email and was told that the "manager" I spoke with was a trainee that didn't really know about GF, that they are aware of cro ss contamination and are very careful. I'm not willing to take a chance since it appears that there isn't a lot of staff training.

Their marinade includes soy sauce and they marinate all meat and veggies. I asked for non-marinated meat and veggies but they brought my corn tortillas in the same container as my friend’s flour tortillas (I didn’t eat the tortillas.) I did not get sick but also didn’t taste that great. Do not recommend.
