Staff was very knowledgeable and consulted with kitchen. Chef is aware of celiac risks and informed us of potential risks such as fried flour chips in guacamole. Tortilla (corn) chips are fried in non-gluten fryer, and they can explain which sauces are safe. Considering the way most restaurants in this tourist town are dismissive of any allergies, their knowledge was refreshing. Plus, restaurant has a water view, outdoor seating, and reasonable prices.

Our server was knowledgeable about which salsas contained flour and which did not. However, the menu is pretty limited. I got a basic burrito bowl and it was fine. They had refried beans which I did not trust so just went rice meat and veg. There are more celiac friendly restaurants in the area I would try before coming here. Although if you're group of family/friends are set on it it's not the end of the world.

I am able to bring my very sensitive celiac kids here because they will accommodate requests like make a cheese quesadilla with a corn tortilla in the microwave. However, the chips are put in a shared fryer so those are off-limits. My daughter was exposed once but it was a very busy night and I should have known better. My celiac husband can find things to eat here as well.
