Gluten free buns for your burger, mash potatoes, and salad were the only options. Less than other Hard Rock locations I have been to.
I was very excited to visit hard rock in San Francisco, I have been to several other hard rocks and never been disappointed, but this time I got quite disappointed. The fries are not gluten free, so you will get mashed potatoes instead, burger and mashed potatoes is weird (for me at least) , and I wonder why they “need” to put flour on top of the fries…. And on top of it the famous big dessert with brownie, ice cream, cream and cherry was NOT gluten free, on every other hard rock I’ve been to, it has been gluten free, so I was very disappointed that I could not eat my favourite dessert.
Some Hard Rock locations have a gluten-free menu but some do not. Please check the particular location you are interested in.
My husband & son are both gluten intolerant & I’m lactose intolerant. There is no dedicated fryer so fries aren’t safe. My husband had cheeseburger with mashed potatoes & my son had baby back ribs with mashed potatoes. Burger was delicious. Mashed potatoes were just okay & needed more seasoning. Ribs were okay but needed more seasoning. Neither of them had any allergic reaction.
No gf or df desserts.
Dairy free items were limited. No dairy free salad dressing even honey mustard dressing had dairy & usually that one is safe. Only safe sides were green beans with no butter, cucumber & tomato salad, and salad with no dressing. I had salmon as my entree with green beans and cucumber & tomato salad. It was okay.
They had an extensive gluten free menu and our waiter was very knowledgeable about gf and cross contamination, immediately informing me that the chips were okay because they were cooked in a separate fryer. I had a delicious bacon cheeseburger with a gluten free bun and chips.
A lot of GF options available with a dedicated GF menu. Our server was very familiar with celiac and made sure that my meal was free from gluten. I had the Southwestern Chicken Bowl and it was offered as GF and I did opt to have the dressing on the side. It was a great option and it was very tasty.
Nice to have a GF menu with a few choices on. I order the cheeseburger and fries, while ordering the waiter said that the fries were cooked with other products so not free of contamination which seems to go against over reviews on here so I would recommend double checking either way. I did eat the fries and had no problems, the burger was yummy as well. Friendly staff.
They have a gluten free menu.
I had a cheese burger and fries. The bread was actually alright!
Overall a tasty meal.
Reassuringly the server brought it over and said Gluten free burger and fries. I hate it when they just put it down without mentioning it.
I think you could eat here and not be worried.
Just thinking back I don't think there were many vege options. Maybe 1 or 2 items. So not ideal if that's you.
My daughter doesn’t eat meat but she was able to get fries (dedicated fryer!) and nachos (chips from a bag with shredded cheese) and she was happy as can be. Our waiter seemed to understand gluten free and contamination so he was super friendly and willing to do what was needed to she could eat (good thing as we found out the Piers/Wharf basically shut down by 9 pm and she was starving after the Big Bus Night Tour)
Gluten free menus available. Quite a few choices for main course. Only Ice cream for dessert. Only one starter option.... chicken wings. The ribs were enormous!! Good basic American food. Can’t complain.
I'm Coeliac and ordered the Burger with fries but was given only the Burger with Broccoli as they could not guarantee the fries to be safe for me. The burger was good however the bun was dry. Such a shame about the fries. So I went again for lunch the next day and OMG the pulled pork was so good and this time I had chips, plus the Bun was much better (maybe it was fresher). Really enjoyed it.
Separate GF menu - biggest range we've seen in any of the Las Vegas or San Francisco restaurants we've visited. Separate fryer (though menu doesn't state that). Helpful staff. Lovely GF burgers and chips as well as plenty of other options including chocolate brownie and ice cream for dessert.
Ordered fajitas after waiter told us they were gluten free and could be served with corn tortillas. Right before food was served he explained the marinate for the steak might not be gluten free and that the corn tortillas were made in a wheat facility and might also contain wheat. So we were served unseasoned steak and shrimp over some onions and bell peppers with a side plate of cheese with no offer to order something else from the menu. Not exactly my idea of 30 dollar fajitas..
Gluten free buns, dedicated fryer. Recently switched to a gluten free BBQ sauce. My daughter has celiac. She got the ribs and fries and was fine. They weren't super educated but the manager was very helpful. Said the company is working on a gluten free menu. For now you pretty much just need to ask about individual items.
As the other reviewers said, there is not a dedicated gluten free fryer. However, I’ve never been to a Hard Rock Cafe that does have a dedicated fryer, so that doesn’t bother me. There was a bit of a wait, but once the food came out it was great. I got a burger with a gluten free bun and mashed potatoes.
They have a special GF menu. I had a good burger. Staff was friendly.
The menu has various options that can be gluten free. I ordered the BBQ chicken tenders, unfortunately the fries are fried in the same oil as gluten plates, so instead it came with salad and frijoles. But the staff and kitchen were completely aware and they assured me that the preparation would be alright.
