Yummy place. They can swap bread with gluten free bread and have gluten free pancakes. I had a breakfast sandwich and their hash browns with no issues! No separate menu but staff were knowledgeable.

Love this place. Great people and great GF pancakes. I get them plain but partner gets them with fruit like blueberries or bananas. Kids love it. The menu is not well marked for GF unless you know where to look but staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. They are only breakfast/lunch/brunch place so they get crazy busy on the weekend. Like an hour plus wait sometimes, So just go to yelp and get on the waiting list and it will tell you when to show up. Easy peasy. Rest of the week isn’t as bad. Usually you get right in, so probably a better time to go for your first visit so you can ask lots of questions of Josh, the owner, who will gladly ease your mind. Josh also has a gluten sensitivity and used to work at the Shack and cares a lot about everyone’s experience. (Shack used to be my go to brunch place, but is a bit of a trek from Affton) If you have any issue, he will make it right. They have GF bread and GF pancakes. They smoke some of their own meats. And they are tasty. I’m a breakfast food junkie and I eat there A LOT. They also have drinks, so I see a lot of early birds and nurses come to their reverse happy hour. Do still make sure they know you are GF and that it’s important, especially if it’s not just a preference (like us celiacs). I have had a couple blips over the years where new kitchen staff sent out something with a regular slice of bread. But Josh and his staff care and if they ever make a mistake, they fix it immediately. Even if that means making it again. They know most of the guests by name and it really feels like family once you get to know everyone. I love that feeling and it doesn’t hurt that the food is tasty, too. :)

They could not seat us because waiting for a large table(we are a party of 5) and they finally seated us after and hour at a table for 4(these were available during our hour wait). We finally ordered and I said I have to eat gluten-free, no toast! When my order came there was toast on the plate. I told the server I cannot have gluten and I ordered this with no toast. She took it away and came back with a new meal almost immediately so I mentioned that I can't have gluten so I hope you didn't just remove the toast. She snapped at me and said this is a new one, do you want it or not? This is just the highlights. They do have gluten-free pancakes. I will never go back.

Great experience! I enjoyed the wilmore with fruit and a side of the GF pancakes. I’d go for the hash browns next time instead of the pancakes. Wasn’t overly greasy or heavy, very good, didn’t get sick!

Owner (Josh) used to manage the Shack and has gluten sensitivities himself. Menu offers GF pancakes. Kitchen seems to be aware of and knowledgeable about avoiding cross contamination.
They smoke their own pastrami!
NOTE: I am not celiac, but am celiac aware.

Great breakfast. No GF bread but they do have GF pancakes. I had the hash & advised celiac. It came out with toast, which is not listed on the menu. They immediately remade the dish & owner came out to apologize along with confirming it was remade. Good service. Just be sure to mention no toast if ordering any hash platters.
