The food is delicious and gluten free, even the Mac & cheese!
This note is for people who might mistakenly think one can eat there. THIS IS TAKE-OUT ONLY! You cannot eat there. You can order there, order ahead, or use a meal delivery service, but you must have to-go food. Maybe native NYers already knew this, but I am not a NYer and was surprised to learn that about 20 restaurants operate from this one location with to-go only.
It was OK, though. There is a hotel right around the corner with a seating area out front. My daughter and I took our delicious meals to the hotel and dined al fresco.
I had a small order of Hulu chicken, low carb (veggies instead of rice). It was more than enough for me and delicious.
UPDATE!!! Beware that they are now making an orange chicken and this place is no longer safe. I have been told that the orange sauce is not gluten-free and that they are preparing the orange chicken on the same surfaces that they prepare all the other food so now everything is glutenized.
Although most everything is considered gluten free, they are not completely safe due to cross contamination. I found their allergen list and everything except the luau pig, sauces, and pineapple are marked safe from cross contamination. Even the rice is cross-contaminated. I haven’t had a reaction (as far as I know), but it sucks there could still be the slight risk of internal effects.
