The food was good but the service was poor. The server just seemed annoyed at my dietary requests. The menu is marked with a few GF menu items but they were unwilling to modify any of them to accommodate additional dietary requests. I was told the kitchen doesn’t like making changes to dishes. For example, I ordered tacos on GF corn tortillas and asked if I could omit the cheese on top that it came with. They said no, I would have to order it exactly as is. I was then up-charged for swapping the side that it came with for something GF. I would not return.

I have been to Hidden Still twice, and both times have been wonderful experiences! The most recent time I was there, the waitress confirmed that I was celiac, and she said their practice is for the manager to bring out food that must be gluten free; the manager did bring out my food. I felt very safe that there was clear communication about my needs for a gf dish. While there are limited gf options, the food here is excellent, and the menu rotates seasonally.

Menu has gluten free labels. Not a ton of choices but there are enough and they are all delicious Update: their GF notations are not for celiacs- shared fryer for items that are marked Gluten free (tortilla chips for example). If you eat here and are sensitive/celiac be sure to ask about everything.

The menu indicates two appetizers: lollipop chicken and Brussel sprouts as being GF. We ordered and when I explained I had to be GF due to an allergy the waitress went back to the kitchen to explain the situation. She returned and informed us the appetizers were not GF as indicated on the menu because they went into a fryer which was shared with other gluten foods. I appreciated the sensitivity to my situation and carefulness she took with my order. At the same time I think it’s disingenuous to label something GF when in fact it is not. We continued with our meals and I ordered the fish tacos, but my confidence in my ability to dine safely was in question. The tacos came out and appeared to be baked but came served with a side of tortilla chips which appeared homemade. I didn’t eat the chips for fear they had been cooked in the oil which had been cross contaminated. The tacos were fresh and tasted fine. So far I have had no reaction, but I would caution anyone with Celiacs about dining here.

We were expecting a gluten-free menu and they did not have one. There is an indicator on the menu for GF, but the lunch menu only had salads that were noted. We did see that they had gluten free rolls to sub but that was not clear. We were pleasantly surprised that they could offer corn tortillas for the kids tacos. Overall great and seem accommodating, but that is not clear from the menu itself.

I really enjoyed the food here! They had a plethora of gluten free options that were safe. They are very knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contact. I felt very safe and had no issues! Highly recommend.

Short Rib Pot Roast is delicious. I like that everything is well marked GF and they accommodate substitutions of side dishes.
