I’ve ate several times at the Hideaway on Western and never had a problem. However, my partner and I ate at the automobile alley location last night and I had a horrible reaction. I ate the ‘build your own pizza’ with gluten free crust, Hideaway red sauce, and mozzarella. I also had a side of marinara sauce. I’m not sure if this was an issue with cross-contamination or if I was served crust that was not gluten free.
The manager greeted us at the door and assured us of our allergen safety. He said that all the toppings were gluten free with the exception of the meatballs. Our waitress, Abby, was great and she made a note of our celiac disease. The manager came out again and told us that everything gluten free is made in its own separate area and the cooks wear fresh gloves. The pizza was fantastic and one of the best we’ve had. We highly recommend Hideaway Pizza to anyone in or visiting Bricktown OKC!
No GF menu but they do have GF items. Careful to order only a small GF pizza - we almost ordered a medium until my husband asked if it was GF. The server said only the small of GF. Could have been a disaster if he hadn't asked for clarification!
This gf pizza was delicious!! We also enjoyed delicious salads and fun ambiance. Great for families. I rarely review places we eat, but this was so outstanding I had to make the effort.
I am from the North East Coast so finding pizza that is good AND gluten free, that is not an easy task. This is not soft foldable NYC pizza, it is crispier crust, but it is great in its own right! I highly recommend it!
Great GF pizza with a lot of topping options. I am not celiac but pretty sensitive. I never have issues eating here. We love it.
Best GF (and non GF according to my family) pizza had! This is from someone who has had great pizza!
the pizza was amazing but there is cross contamination and I got sick from it. :/ so if you aren't super sensitive to gluten like me, then this is a great place to eat!
I’m a Celiac and I had a great experience here. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and understanding, let the kitchen know about the situation and even made suggestions for the menu (apparently the cauliflower crust is better than the GF one). A welcoming, safe environment for sure. Even offered to have the manager make my pizza from start to finish!
The only downside is that you can only get a small GF pizza, they don’t have an option for larger sizes.
Hideaway Pizza in Bartlesville has gluten free crust available that is fairly dry & often comes out with burnt edges from the ovens. However their topping combinations are fabulous & the crust is an acceptable platform for the toppings if you are gluten free. Their ranch dressing is a great way to make the pizza crust palatable - I dip crust into a side of ranch. Wait staff is always friendly & attentive.
We tried this place because we saw other Hideaway Pizza’s have pretty good reviews for the gluten free. This establishment was not educated in Celiac Friendly environment. They brought out our gluten free pizza touching a regular pizza. I had to send it back and let them know why. They brought out a new pizza but my daughter did get contaminated and did not feel well the next day.
I normally eat at a couple of theHideaway locations in Tulsa. Good pizza and never had an issue.
The gluten free crust looks like an Udi’s crust. Their cauliflower crust is also gluten free, and it’s slightly thicker, and comes out a bit less cracker-like, and more like traditional thin crust.
You can get any of their specialty pizzas with those crusts, or build your own.
They do use separate pans and clean utensils, and I’ve always found that the staff is generally knowledgeable about the options, and the kitchen staff is consistently trained to use their gf procedures.
I have serious gluten allergies, and a good friend who is Celiac often eats at two in Tulsa with no problem.
I had the Boz, this time, and it was good, as always. No issues.
