They have gluten free bread options for extra $2.
I ordered a smoked chicken sandwich, and french fries, both are gluten-free and tasted really good.
I had the opportunity of meeting the chef, named, Chef Megan, who was very kind. She said that the meats are mostly cooked on a Virginia oak smoker.
On a sidenote, anyone with peanut allergies can rest assured, Chef Megan insured me that the kitchen is scrubbed down and sanitized to prevent cross-contamination.
Have had some good experiences here but our most recent was a disappointment. We ordered takeout (a salad and some chicken wings). We were specific about wanting them both gluten free and the person taking the order confirmed when he repeated it back. When we opened the bag, the salad had what looked like crispy crackers all over it. We called the restaurant to ask and were told that those weren't gf. Girl on the phone apologized but didn't really offer any explanation. I sent an email to restaurant but never got a response. It's too bad as there aren't a lot of local places I feel safe eating. This used to be one of them.
Went for the first time last night. I had the pulled brisket, quinoa salad and vegetables. It was delicious, can't beleive I waited that long to try this place. I didn't feel sick and our waitress was great!
Great gluten free choices (I got an awesome roast beef sandwich), waitress was well informed, told me right away the French fries that came with the sandwich were not gluten free and told me which sides were. And the Gelato is to die for! (and my fiance loved the complimentary corn bread and cinnamon butter, hopefully they make a gluten free version some day! )
The food was delicious and the waitress was really great regarding my allergy. I just wish they had more options.
Great gluten free menu! Have been there numerous times and have enjoyed my meal and experience every time.
