I was so excited I could have fried pickles AND wings!! I haven’t had them in months since I found out I was gluten intolerant. I’m pretty sensitive to cross contamination and have had no reaction so far since eating here. My gluten eating husband thought everything was delicious too!

You can eat ALL the fried things!! And they are crispy and delicious!! I love this place. Dedicated fryers and knowledgeable, thoughtful servers. The tater tots are SO crispy. I often have wings (easy to have sauce on the side), fried cauliflower, french fries or fried fish. The chicken tender batter has dairy in it, and some sauces have dairy, but the servers can let you know which ones if you ask. I’ve never had a gluten reaction here, they’re very conscientious.

*Almost* everything here is gluten free except just a few things. THEY HAVE ALL THE FRIED THINGS! Fried cauliflower, cheese curds, onion rings, chicken fried BACON (seasonal), fried pickles... All gluten free already, no need to request a substitution. Their wings are gluten free and they have a huge variety of sauces which all are gluten free. We always order way too much because everything sounds so delicious, and then we eat too much because everything IS so delicious! We do kinda leave feeling a bit heavy in the guts because... Just... Everything... Is fried. But we only go here occasionally as a treat so we feel it's worth it. Plus, their outdoor seating is dog friendly and they even give you a water bowl. Have gone here many times in the past few years since finding them, and we've never gotten food poisoning and my husband has never been "glutened" or felt ill after eating here.

I had a great experience here - asked about the special precautions they take, and the gal behind the counter asked if I have celiac, which was so beautiful! She made a note on my order and the food that came out was delicious and safe for me to eat - no stomach ache! Has become a new go-to now that I have this diagnosis. Very grateful they exist!

I don’t understand how this place is still in business. Even with a marked gf menu. Is not Celiac safe. If you are gluten free by choice perfect, otherwise don’t risk it. Is not safe for celiac. Unless you want to spend a day vomiting and with diarrhea. Either the spices are not celiac safe or cross contamination or something else… but STAY AWAY!!!

If it's fried, it's gluten-free. Their food is all wonderful, and I've never had a reaction. They have the best sauces I've ever had, the drinks are refreshing, and I feel safe eating here.

Everything on Thier menu is gluten free except the bread for sandwiches and the Mac n cheese. Everything in the dryer is gluten free. I've ordered almost everything and it's all amazing. The costumer service is great too. This is one of my regular go to spots!

This is my favorite restaurant in Eugene. My husband and I are recognized regulars at this point. I never have to worry about my meals here. I make sure they know I'm celiac when I order. They are well knowledgeable of celiac and have a good system in place in the kitchen. They are a primarily gluten free kitchen with a designated gluten space. Practically the opposite of most other restaurants. Almost all the items can be made gluten free. Their tots are the best in town! Amazing wings. Delicious Mac n' cheese.

Amazing GF comfort food!! My fave is the fried chicken sandwich with GF bun & onion rings on the side. All fried foods are GF. The batter is flavorful, crispy, & delicious. GF bun seems fresh & made local & was awesome. Onion rings are sooo good!! Almost all of the menu is GF. (I think some of these other reviews are super out-dated. Service is amazing & food is wonderful.)

Excellent food and drinks, service is definitely a bit slow and lackadaisical. I often have to wait longer to get my order taken than for the food to come out, but it’s always delicious. I can get chicken tenders and onion rings, which is nice for a Celiac! Never had an issue here getting sick. Biggest turn off is how unenthusiastic the wait staff is- I know it sucks to work but it makes it hard to come back when the servers eyeball you like you’re the devil when you ask for more water....
Yes
The staff is a little too laissez fair about cross contamination if you’re celiac. I’ve gotten a little sick here more than once and had to give up going.
No
I got crazy sick after! I will not go back even if they gave me free food for a year. Stay away if you are Celiac. This place is not for you. Please stay away! I asked all the questions, they told me everything could be made gluten free. I went to sleep with an upset stomach and in the middle of the night I woke up to a terrible pain and vomiting my guts out. If you don't care getting sick by all means stop by!

Extremely good food && knowledgeable staff :)

Excellent food choices, friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and amazing taste. Fried pickles and cauliflower best ever with so many sauce choices. So many options to choose from on wings. Bonus lots of dairy free options. Allowed to taste different sauces and pet friendly in outdoor seating.
Yes
totally amazing! fish and chips, fried pickles, chicken fried bacon! Wow... I never get to eat stuff like that. This place is great, the servers are super nice and pretty much everything they make is gluten free.
Yes
Yum! Cheddar bites, Fish&Chips, and fried bacon are each amazing!
This is my go-to place when I want something fried, or a good salad. Everyone in my family loves it, Celiac or not.
I asked them about the rumor that they fry Twinkies in their frier ( fried twinkies are not on the menu) and they said it is FALSE. They do not fry any gluten containing foods in their kitchen. They do in their food truck, however, so that is good to be aware of but they were very forthcoming about that.
You can get fried snickers and fries pickles and deep fried bacon but not twinkies or nutterbutters or anything fried with gluten.
Yes
Everything they make is gluten free, all their batters etc. so the frier is GF. The only gluten in the place is the beer and the regular hamburger buns which are kept in packages until use.
Yes
Great food and they are celiac friendly.
They fry gluten in their fryers and have no comprehension of cross-contamination
No
nice people. great food!
All fried food gluten free. All wings gluten free. I've changed my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars because they've changed their gf bun to udi's brand, which I think is too dense and dry. Also, my most recent visits have caused upset stomach about 75% of the time.

Delicious food and almost everything is gluten free!

Really enjoyed this place, our new favorite. We will drive an hr to go there. Enjoyed the fried foods which is never an option. Pricey but potions more than make up for that. Kids menu great price $5 and plenty of food for my big eater. Some reviews address the fried food was greasy, it's fried!! Hot, crispy, crunchy, and fresh, just plain delish. We all took food home. Will be returning!!

It is fried food/comfort food gf heavan. Been there many times and never had a problem with cross contamination.
Update:
Had never had any fried food here before, and just did and did not feel good afterward. Too bad :( you should probably be fine if you are cautious and make your needs clear and steer free from fried items
No
Agreed with previous review. Completely inappropriate use of the term 'dedicated gluten free fryer' when you are also frying twinkles and nutter butters. One time a whole piece of fried pasta turned up in an order of tots. Does not take celiac safety necessary. Bummer, too, cause it's a nice place run by otherwise great folks. It's just not safe for celiacs, at all.
No
Ah-mazing!!!!!
Editing my review.
The last few times I've eaten here I ended up getting sick. The last time I got violently ill at 3 am waking up the entire household. I am celiac. I found out that they share the fryer with gluten items (twinkies) and their gf items that are fried get cross contaminated. I was told they think the gluten gets burned off. No. It does not.
If you are celiac or intolerant - please keep this in mind. If you are gf for non medical reasons, then I say go for it. Still yummy just not safe.
No
Great food, stellar prices, lots of GF options. A must visit place when I'm Eugene, please open one in Seattle.
We has delicious fried pickles and wings! Love that so much of their menu is GF!
Yes
I'd give it another half star if I could. I got the chicken tender basket. The chicken was perfectly cooked and a nice throw back to pre gf days. The fries were so-so. Another limp doughy fry like anywhere else. I was hoping for sweet potato fries but they aren't offered. Next time I'll get the tenders and a salad and it will be a perfect meal. Waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I will go back. As it was I got an order of just tenders to go for lunch tomorrow. Yum!
Yes
Great wings. They are not a GF facility but they do have a separate prep area and very careful. My daughter with celiac and the rest of us who are gluten intolerant were all just fine.
Yes
Everything is gluten free and awesome. There are kid friendly gf menu options, my kids were able to order anything off the menu.
Yes
So many gluten free options...had a gluten free corn dog for the first time in forever. Try the tater tots..they're to die for.
Gluten free pasta, batter for fried food, buns and sandwich bread. So many options and it's absolutely delicious.
My favorite gluten free restaurant in town! We need more places like this in town. They have gluten free Mac n cheese, GF bread for the sandwiches (just ask for it toasted or grilled), GF tots and fries, and even the fish n chips!! Nom nom!!
gluten free comfort food

We were very happy with our meal. Almost everything can be gf and they seem to do a very good job of preventing cross contamination. Wings, Mac and cheese, and all gf fryers made for a happy family. Only real drawback for us was the sports-heavy atmosphere.
