One of the managers (Joan) has Celiac too, and she went into the kitchen herself to prepare my food. I got an omelette with pepper jack cheese, fruit on the side. The waitress (Wanda) was phenomenal, and told me I could probably request "country eggs" (which means straight from the shell) at any IHOP location as a substitute for the standard pre-mixed egg batter stuff, and as long as they clean your section of the grill before cooking, it should be safe. I was coming back from a weekend with folks who didn't understand the severity of the issue, so I was already experiencing symptoms beforehand, but given how on-the-ball everyone was, I believe this location is safe.
One of the mangers (or owners?) of this location has Celiac's. The manager on duty and wait staff was very knowledgeable they reassures me they would clean the grill and try to keep things as separated as possible. They will also make plain eggs for you without the pancake batter, making them gf so you can order any of the omelets. I had no reaction. I will definitely go back.
Called ahead and made sure they were able to accommodate celiacs. They manager was extremely helpful and informed the servers that I would be coming. She personally oversaw my entire order and made sure my food was safe. I had the pancake breakfast combo and didn’t have any reaction. Just be sure to advocate for yourself and let them know and they will go above and beyond to accommodate you. Pleasantly surprised.
