We went to Il Convento for a family dinner—I have a gluten allergy, but some of my family has severe nut allergies—and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The entire menu is well labeled with which allergens it contains, and they are very willing to have the kitchen alter some items to fit your needs. The gluten free bread is incredible, and the gluten free pasta was fresh and well cooked. Even my gluten-eating family members thought it was incredible. They have a number of dishes that are naturally gluten free too. I would highly recommend the risotto or the fish if you would prefer something that doesn’t not contain gluten and does not require alteration. The staff all speaks at least two languages (all spoke Italian, most spoke English and German as well) and are very willing to help you figure out what is best for you.

Very nice staff, very good food, and a generally good experience here. I sometimes miss the nice and more “fine” dinner out experiences as celiac, and this is the spot for the more romantic dinner. we had 3 courses, where I had the burrata with truffle for starter, the amarone risotto with salsicca for main and creme caramel for dessert. The dishes were all marked, so i knew what i could eat and there was a lot of possibilities, also gf bread.

Very nice Italian restaurant. Items that vontain allergens clearly marked on menu. This is perfect for a date night. Very good wine selection, if you make a reservation you can sit on the terrace upstairs in summer. Nice vieuws and away from the busy street. Also nice indoors!
