I always have a great experience at this In n Out, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I always get a protein style burger and the last couple of times I was asked if I had allergies and was told they would take good care of my food.

I’m not sure how because I normally trust these guys 100% for no gluten exposure, but immediately after eating my protein style burger and fries I had awful flare up symptoms. I hadn’t had anything else that was possible of giving me gluten exposure so I have to blame it on the restaurant. Not sure how it happened but I won’t be returning as my joints are on fire.
** just by the way I just searched to see if there were any similar reviews on Google and there is one by a fellow gluten hater (lol) and she was sick after as well. So, seems they are not good at cross contamination. Be aware!

Order "protein style" to get it wrapped in lettuce
I mention *gluten allergy* at every In-n-Out and they are good about it each time. They denote it on the order and shout it aloud in the kitchen. I order it protein style with no spread (not safe for celiacs).
I love that fries are celiac safe on their own. I’m not really missing the bun much so In-n-Out is always one of my favorites.

Winning combination of best (anyway) burger and dedicated area for GF lettuce wraps (called protein style burgers)

Cheeseburger protein style with sauce and French fries all gluten free. I also watched as the girl changed gloves and prepared my food in a separate container off the counter! Made me smile :)

5/24 It’s still busy, it’s still clean, and it’s still safe. This place is always busy, but it’s clean and it’s safe.

Tell them you are gluten free and they will note it in the order. Get burgers “protein style” for a lettuce wrap instead of buns. Fries are 100% safe! Never had any issues here, just don’t forget to tell them you have a gluten allergy so they take the necessary precautions for CC

I had heard it would be safe and I was not disappointed. Dedicated fryer for fries. Burger served protein style (lettuce wrapped) and on separate tray from rest of non GF order. Employee verified gluten allergy on fries and burger order. Symptom free and first fries in 4 months!

HUGE shout out to the staff at this establishment today. This was my first dine out experience at fast food since being diagnosed with lupus and celiacs. The young lady at the register quadruple checked my order and also verified with the manager and working staff about it coming through. Then once my order came up the manager stood at the counter until it was picked up telling everyone to keep my order seperate from my son and husbands (non gluten free) order. I felt so incredibly safe and can’t say enough how much that meant to me today. Thank you
