In-N-Out Burger

Major fail! The person talking our order explained the protocols that were in place to keep my fries gf. As I watched the workers prepare our order, I realized none of the steps that none of the steps were being taken. I questioned the employee who handed us our food, and she had a different answer than what I was given when ordering. As we were discussing this, I happened to look down at our order. My "gf/allergy" fries were in the same bag as my husband's half-wrapped burger.

I’ve been going to this location for 19 years with celiac and have never had any kind of flair ups. Even when I don’t tell them it’s an allergy I’ve still never had a reaction so it’s my tried and true location for gluten free fast food!

I took the advice of a previous reviewer and just spoke directly to the manager. I also placed my order separately. It took them much longer to prepare my food BUT the wait was worth it, as I did not have any reactions. I also just brought my own bun and asked for an extra side of spread.

I appreciate them marking my gluten allergy and separate containers-just makes me feel better. Got the fries and a shake and felt safe.

When they are not super busy, they take extra time to ensure our order was only handled by those handling the allergy orders. Separate grill in the back without bread (at that time not sure if it’s dedicated gf), and clean gloves when handling our order. (Went once when it was extremely busy and at the fry station the order was touched by several workers without gloves change). Make sure to order for a gluten allergy with each needed item, staff seem to be knowledgeable. (Son with celiac Ordered: 🍔🍟🥤double cheeseburger, ketchup instead of spread, lettuce, tomato, add pickles for gluten allergy, fries, in separate box with a lid. Neapolitan shake. No reaction 🥹)
