I got the chana masala curry with a vegetable pokata appetizer. The food 🥝 was great, service from the waitress was excellent. My wife and friend also enjoyed their food. I made a point to ask about the GF safety here and was assured by the waitress that food was prepared in a dedicated GF fryer and she pointed to the sections on the menu which were gluten free. The menu had lots of GF food options, which I appreciated.
We asked the server (Khavita sp?) to double check if the papadaum and pakoras were not fried in the same fryer as the samosas and they are but they were able to pan fry them for us so no cross contamination.
We enjoyed veggie pakoras, onion bhajis, benghen bhartha, and chicken & veggie korma with coconut milk to make it df. The food was amazing! We lucked out that our waitress was patient and appreciated the extra questions.
The papadaums can't be made fully gf for Celiac as they are made before the shift.
UPDATE: As of March 2024, the owners now say fried items are cooked in separate pots so if you have celiacs there are fried items you can eat here! As always, good to ask your own questions.
The owners are husband and wife, the husband is the chef while the wife does front of house. Both are very sweet and friendly. They personally have friends with celiacs disease and understand cross contamination.
We were quickly steered away from samosas and told that the tandoor had naan cooked on the sides while the meat was cooked on skewers. While the meat and naan never touched the same surfaces, she said it was up to us as sometimes they were cooked at the same time and act like a convection oven.
Because we couldn’t eat the naan we were offered replacements for anything our meal was supposed to come with, like salad and soup as well as a dessert to share.
We felt really safe eating here and the food is amazing. We will be coming back regularly!
I am addicted to their India palace curry + coconut milk. And the veggie korma. The flavors are so good!!! It’s really fresh. Im extremely picky about Indian food and it’s the best in the valley. The only Indian food we order. Everything that’s dairy free and gluten free is marked 😍
Delicious! I have not had Indian food in 5 years. It is so nice to see the menu clearly labeled and most was gluten free. I do not have Celiac, I have Multiple Sclerosis. I can get neurological symptoms within minutes of getting gluten. It has been an hour and I feel good. I did eat way too much though! It was so good
