Had lunch in Purser’s Pub. The burger on a gluten free bun but fries are not gluten free. It is so good. Also have gluten free crab cakes.

I had one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever eaten at this lovely restaurant overlooking the harbor. The waitress was familiar enough with food allergens that when I informed her that I’m a celiac, she was able to clearly communicate my needs to the kitchen. Had I only mentioned gluten-sensitivity, though, as opposed to celiac disease, they would have toasted my GF bun in a non-dedicated toaster and served me fries from a non-dedicated fryer. But after I alerted the waitress to issues of cross-contamination, the chef toasted the GF bun on foil in the oven, and he replaced all the oil in the fryer. (Side note: Had I known in advance that he was going to replace the oil, I’d have saved him the trouble by substituting a side salad for the fries. But they were delicious.) Bottom line: The staff at Stars will go out of their way to prepare your meals however you request them. I consider it a safe place for celiacs as long as you remember to press for details when ordering.

A great restaurant on the water. It was a beautiful place for lunch with a nice knowledgeable staff. The fries were coated, but they have gluten free buns and could have the crab sandwich.

EXPENSIVE!!! Not two stars more like 6!! Nice atmosphere. But our waiter Kelsey was not knowledgeable on GF, mind you the menu stated GF and she still wasn't sure. Asked for a captain and coke. As rum is GLUTEN free and she came back with a jack Daniels!!** Glutened*** smh... than put a little dessert on the table which was nice but it wasn't GF so she took it right off the table!! They charged us 6$ for a bottle of flat water.. insane!!!!
The food here was excellent, however it didn't feel like they were on their "A" game in terms of gf. I typically expect the nicer the restaurant the easier it is to get great service on this. Served gf rolls - exciting but they were dry and not tasted great. Served me scallops with the bread salad - had to send back.
Staff are very knowledgeable and will adapt meals to make them gluten free. I told them I needed to eat gluten free and they brought out some delicious GF rolls to have before dinner. At breakfast GF was available. All food was excellent!!!!
