Stated gluten free but only had 2 options and one was sold out so had to have taco's however both my daughter and I are gluten intolerant and we both had the taco's and we were both incredibly ill. Most def not Gluten free or Celiac friendly - stay far far away!
Server and staff are very knowledgeable about everything that is GF and take cross contamination very seriously. They even have glutenberg beer.
They promised they were celiac friendly and yet i was sick immediately. Would never recommend
glten free option well indicated in the menu. staff is well trained they know the answers to any questions. good restaurant!
I had a pretty good experience here! I got Pad Thai which was already made with rice noodles! Having the menu state it was made with rice noodles (meaning they didn’t have to swap Gluten for gluten free noodles) definitely made me feel more comfortable! I have only been there once but my first visit went well!
Dedicated fryer, GF burger bun, corn tortillas, GF Nachos, overall good experience!
Nachos and burgers (GF bun) are all gluten free. Dedicated fryer for fries
We’ve had a couple of very good experiences at this location. They have a dedicated deep fryer and seem to understand how to serve safe food.
They had updated their menu to showcase the gf options, I got an American burger with fries. They assured me the gluten free bun were kept separate and the fries were in a dedicated fryer. Burger was a tad pink, and very tasty. However I did get very sick from it. So bit of a mixed review.
Not gluten free. They tried to understand us but what was served definitely had gluten. My dad had pain for long time.
Horrible. Super slow. Got contaminated.
My boyfriend has celiac so we always make sure we tell the server. Depends on who you get but usually all of their servers are knowledge about what dishes are gluten free. We usually get the nachos and they're great! The lobster and crab dip is awesome too. We just don't get the pita chips.
Second time going here I ordered rice veggies and grilled chicken the waiter went back to the kitchen they said it was totally safe with out the sauces. Well I got the full gluten bowl had two bites and realized why is there sauce in this. Called the waiter over sure enough they made the entire bowl with gluten!!! The manager came to the table and apologized then we got our entire table meal for free. But I was so sick the following week I'll never eat here again. Esp when the manager said it goes though three people to prep meals and they still got it wrong!!
Was served by a waiter along with a new waitress in training. I told them immediately that I had Celiac Disease and they were all over me with helpful and comforting information! How refreshing!! This young lady ALSO has CD and they told us that 2 other waitresses whom work there have it also!! They have a designated deep fryer, they do wings in the oven and their burgers and GF buns are amazing, the bun was not dry or crumbly at all. They also have gf nachos and pastas. Their menu isn't separate but gluten free options are clearly marked and they also bring you an iPad that eliminates gluten (and other allergens) from the menu and leaves you with the things you can safely eat. Cool idea! I asked if they knew offhand the ingredients in their signature Sangria and they went over to the bar and came back with all of the ingredients written down! Again, wow. We will most definitely be returning time and time again!!
Server was very attentive, explained about the gf buns. when I said I likely couldn't have the fries he assured me that the fries were gf in a dedicated fryer!
Their bun is a pretty good for their burgers and sandwiches. Having a gluten free option for bread adds more to chose from on the menu.
I read all the reviews and noticed they were all from 2013. Decided to check it out. After the waitress showed me their iPad based menu with all the allergens, I was impressed. Then I started looking closer. Nearly everything on the menu contained wheat/gluten. There were possibly 3 steaks, salmon and sweet potato fries that did not show the allergen present icon. We left without ordering. 🙁
love the Chicken and goat cheese sandwich with gluten free bun! it also comes with fries which are in their own dedicated fryer. I love them since I usually can't have fries at other restaurants. The staff are very accommodating and the kitchen staff are willing to work with your gluten allergy . we love Jack Astors!!
ate there once. found options to be limited. had the burger and it fell apart, wouldn't go back without I was invited to a function or something
I went there for lunch and got the gf burger and fries with no problem
Burgers available on gf bun! Delicious! Best gluten free burger I've ever had. Waitress told me that a dedicated gf fryer is used for the fries.
2 years ago, Jacks had a gluten - free menu. But every time I've been there ever since, I've been told it was being revised. They do have an allergy list, but the only things a celiac could eat are the loaded nachos and a few wing/finger sauces. Not much of a meal. I'm giving Jacks a wide berth until I see a gluten free menu and information posted on their website.
They fed me Gluten!!! I repetadly asked if bun was gluten-free. Server insisted it was fine. It was 100% NOT Gluten Free. Salad even came with crutons also NOT Gluten-Free. They were not helpful at all after the fact. I talked to managers and owner who were unwilling to help. This place made me very sick. I will never go back. Avoid this place!!!
I just had lunch there and the manager not once came to check on me, the staff were completely baffled about gluten. They only had gluten "friendly" hamburger buns, but the burgers themselves have bread crumbs and traces of meat! After going through the allergy list which said fries are completely safe, turns out they are made in contaminated oil! I'm extremely displeased with this and only had plain salmon as that was all they could offer me.
This chain offers a gluten "friendly" bun for burgers and a gluten free Menu.
