Used to be my favorite place in town, but food quality, safety and service have gone downhill recently. Still, it’s the only place in town with a dedicated fryer… Decent GF selection but it is hit or miss. Definitely ask to speak to the chef or manager prior to ordering to ensure the staff actually pass on your dietary requirements to the kitchen. The last time we went it took 3 tries to get my celiac daughter a burger with no bun.

Knowledge staff, plenty of options. We asked about their fryer based on previous reviews and the chef confirmed that it was a dedicated gluten free fryer. They only use corn starch on their fried items. No reaction and great food, drink!

This place no longer gets my business. They fired employees for wearing masks at work. If they can’t take public safety seriously, I don’t trust them about food allergies.
Jack Sprat is one of my favorite restaurants in the state. I have had so many great meals here, with that said please please let your server know if you have an actual allergy. Despite some items being marked as gluten free, such as the yam fries, they are in a shared fryer. They told me they clean it out often, but I personally would not risk having a reaction. Unless you know the right questions to ask, you could get a reaction. Ex. When I asked if they were truly gf they said yes, when I asked if it's a gluten free fryer they said they only had one fryer and they also fry other things in there, when I asked if the other things are all gluten free they said no. To me that means it is not truly gluten free. (Also, how annoying is it to have to ask so many questions to get the final answer).
I have not had a reaction here yet, and I have eaten here about 5 times so far. It's great food, but I question how well they understand the allergy.. Due to items being marked as gf and not actually being gf I will have to say this is not celiac friendly place, unless you ask enough questions.

Still come here every time I come to Girdwood. Haven’t gotten sick. Their fryer is not GF, FYI. Great GF desserts.
4 Years Ago: Awesome food and friendly wait staff. So many gluten free options, including dessert. The waitress described the menu as 'allergen friendly' and walked through many of the options and brought a gluten free menu as well. Will return.
I love Jack Sprat food, but the last two times I've eaten there I've gotten sick.

Food was good, but I ordered the gluten free crepe and got sick. I don’t think the waitress understood that I needed the filling to be gluten free as well.

Staff was knowledgeable, menu marked with GF. Hummus and chips from kids menu was GF too! Good food, but expensive. But didn’t I get sick!
