I can’t say enough good things about this wonderful find. The setting is beautiful with lots of window tables looking out on the marina, the bay & Newport bay bridge. The food never disappoints. Many of the items on the menu are gluten free & clearly marked. They have a designated fryer. YAY! The fish & chips are sooo good. Ditto the seafood soup & the coconut shrimp. They have hard cider on tap. They usually have a couple GF desserts on the menu. On warm days, I highly recommend dining on their balcony.

I was so excited when I found out that EVERYTHING that goes into their fryers is gluten free! Fish and chips, and onion rings that I could actually eat without having to worry about cross contamination. I made a pig of myself and was happily overly full when I was finished. So tasty! This is my new favorite restaurant!!

Amazing!! Absolutely loved it, went back a 2nd time the same weekend. Menu is very well marked GF, DF, V, VG & W30 with a dedicated GF fryer. It's been 18 years since I have had mozzarella sticks, so so good. Cod and Halibut fish and chips, regular and sweet potato fries ALL GF. GF buns and also ALL desserts are GF. My husband (who is not GF) said they were great. Friendly.& Knowledgeable staff for both visits, We will be back!

The restaurant is hidden inside the Embarcadero resort. Outside seating is available.
If it's deep fried, it's gluten free. All of their desserts are gluten free also, and made in site. So great!!

Oh my goodness- this place was AMAZING. They are very knowledgeable about celiac, a dedicated gluten free fryer, and the fish/chips, chicken strips, and fries are amazing. They also have an amazing Arnold Palmer and every dessert item they have is gluten free. Also, very kind servers. I will definitely be going back the next time I’m in Newport!

So not skip this place! We had the halibut fish and chips, cod fish and chips and the coconut shrimp! Everything was so good and so nice to feel “normal” being able to order fish and chips from a dedicated gluten free fryer! I wanted to try the hazelnut crusted halibut but we didn’t get a chance to go back, next time! Menu was clearly marked for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, whole 30 and keto options. Hands down my favorite stop of the trip.

Wonderful food and service! Very safe and knowledgeable about celiac. Menu is clearly marked and our server put “celiac” next to everything on our ticket to be extra certain there wouldn’t be any mistakes. Also, best ranch dressing I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not even kidding. We put it on the jo jo fries and I had it in my salad. Probably would have eaten it with a spoon to be honest. Lol it was heaven.

This is the best gluten free comfort food EVER. Staff is very kind, and very knowledgeable. The mozzarella sticks are hands down the best I’ve ever had, gluten free or otherwise. My mom and best friend both agree (who are not celiac) that they are amazing. We will be back there to eat again before we leave town. Where have they been my whole life?!?!

Really great experience here. Had the fish and onion rings. My mom had the salmon salad and it also looked tremendous. I’m a picky critic and I’ll say that I wasn’t disappointed. Totally worth all the calories. My dad isn’t gluten free and he had the fish and chips and couldn’t tell the difference at all.

I’m only giving this a 4 because I went twice but had two different experiences. The breakfast was absolutely amazing I had the stuffed pepper. No issues and loved every bite. The waiter was amazing and very understanding of my allergy. However when I went back for dinner the night staff doesn’t care as much. I ordered the Cauliflower Mac and cheese and asked if my fries where gluten free as well and was told yes. Long story short between the two items I was sick for 12 hours and my night was ruined. The evening staff didn’t take the steps needed to keep my food from cross contamination and I paid dearly for it. We will only go for breakfast and if it happens again will never go back

Most delicious Halibut I’ve had in years. The Arnold Palmer was the best I’ve had all day, Starbucks couldn’t beat them. The customer service was excellent, she was friendly and helpful. The food was at my table in a timely manner and presented clean, fresh and mouth watering. The Carrot Cake with a twist of spice. All I can say is, “Amazing”. Well done Jack Sprats !! You have my 5 Stars.

All the fried food is only made gluten free and what we had was the fish and chips, fries, and mozzarella sticks, we thought they all were delicious. There are scratch made gluten free dessert options as well. The lemon bars are the most unexpected delight. They are very knowledgeable about GF and even has a celiac label for the kitchen. Safety-wise we won’t know for a few days.

I ordered the GF coconut prawns with a side of fries. The shrimp was very small but tasty. Quite a disappointment for the price. The fries were really good and it was a large quantity.
Really tasty food. Went twice. Had fish and chips both times, once with halibut, once with cod. Both were delicious. Fryer is 100% gluten free (they use tempura). Staff was decently knowledgeable about GF. They also had some pretty decadent salads and really good coconut-encrusted shrimp (with a sweet chili sauce). Also a rooftop patio with beautiful views of the harbor and the big bridge.

Desiree was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, so it made for a good and safe experience. They use tempura batter that has corn starch to make the fish, shrimp, fries and onion rings. Safe for Celiacs, crunchy and delicious. Frier is only used for GF items. They also have many DF items too. GF seems to be their niche, which is so hard to find and trust. Prices were on the high end, but for a Celiac or DF that’s priceless.

We went there for takeout tonight because there were so many GF, DF, & V items clearly marked on their menu. I LOVE that they have dedicated GF fryers, so I could actually have fish & chips. The waitress was very friendly, and though they seemed short-staffed, the wait wasn’t too bad. The meals themselves were pretty good. Not as good as the no-longer-in-business Corbett or Hawthorne Fish Houses in Portland & Vancouver, which closed at the start of the pandemic and will forever be mourned, but still decent. I was worried that the 2 pieces of fish wouldn’t be enough (Portland Fish Market’s standard portion is 3), but they and the (greasy) fries filled me up anyway. One thing I especially liked was that the tartar sauce came in a biodegradable paper container instead of plastic. We will definitely add this to our list of safe places to eat in Newport.

Wow, this place is amazing! Their fryer is dedicated GF, so everything fried is GF. I had the fish and chips with sweet potato fries and they were fantastic (and DF also!). The best part was, there were so many things on the menu that were safe for me (GF and DF) - I actually had a hard time choosing! The service was excellent, super friendly, and helpful. They even made me a vodka lemonade with fresh Marion berries that was incredible. I plan to return often. Highly recommend!!

We had the crab cakes, fish and chips, and mozzarella sticks. Everything was so good. Portions were generous and priced fairly. Care was taken as to not cross contaminate. Staff said fryer is gluten free only. Beautiful view from the outdoor seating area. Newport has the best/safest gluten free restaurants on the coast in my opinion, I hope this place stays open. It was not very busy when we went but I think it's because it's hard to find. It's connected to the Embarcadero hotel/condos, go in the main lobby turn right, go upstairs. You won't regret it! 😀
