Great burnt ends, tried the beans, creamy corn, coleslaw. Didn’t get sick!
Wonderful cozy Americana ambiance. Food and drinks are off the charts good. I had the beef back ribs and the burnt ends and beans. They have an allergy matrix menu where gluten is the first column. Lots of options. I writing this review the next morning and I have had no problems at all. Make sure you get the burnt ends. They are ridiculous.

Allergen menu was very informative. Their fries do contain gluten, as the allergen memu correctly indicates. Had pork burnt ends and sausage burnt ends as an appetizer, and chicken sandwich on GF bun, with broccoli side, for main course. Creme brulee for dessert was delicious. A great meal!
Fries do contain gluten!
Great service, but I was not aware they had a GF menu. My brisket was average and the turkey was not a quality cut of meat and very bland.
The service was great, but the food unremarkable and I am so sick after eating the fries. I won’t be back.
We were visiting MO from California, went to KC and Branson. This was definitely the best BBQ we had on our weeklong trip, probably the best BBQ either of us have had in our lives. We are still talking about it a week later! Melt in your mouth meats. Even the chicken! BBQ sauces are excellent. Try them all, they’re all gluten free! Our server definitely knew what was and wasn’t GF and made a special note for the kitchen as well that I had an allergy. I had the strawberry salad to start (delicious and refreshing) then some chicken and pulled pork and a loaded baked potato. All so good. We had it for lunch and ate so much we skipped dinner that night. Highly recommend.
This was amazing. Found it with my "Find My Gluten Free" app. It did not disappoint. Good gluten free options. Had Blackberry BBQ Salmon which was amazing! The cheese corn was delicious too.. Those were my favorites.. The BBQ lamb ribs were also delicious as were the beans. They didn't really have a gluten free dessert, but were able to get me some ice cream with chocolate sauce. Hubs had the strip with fries and really liked it.. The family fashioned and purple haze were also delicious, but the family fashioned won out. ETA; make a reservation before coming, we were happy we did even though we came earlier than I anticipated needing a reservation. At 5p the wait without a reservation was 30 to 45 min.
I had a fantastic experience here! The waitress was so knowledgeable of the menu and brought up which items might be subject to cross contamination right away. All of the sauces appear to be gluten free and same with the meat (minus the wings which are fried). You can swap the french fries for a wide number of other delicious sides 😋
They have a dedicated allergen menu. I had a chopped burnt end sandwich on gluten free bun and a loaded baked potato, plus bbq sauce, and everything stayed down. I took home leftovers, and they were delicious the next day. I toasted up the bun a bit more, it didn’t get soggy. Would recommend.
Pleasantly surprised! Danielle in the take out areas was amazing in guiding us and providing the allergen menu. Got the shrimp and baby back rips with broccoli and coleslaw. Did not get sick. I did not try the sauces but they should have been safe, I just like to limit the risk :)
They give you a separate listing of allergens to cross reference with menu. The fries are not labeled as containing gluten, but they are fried in a shared fryer with onion rings. The waitress said I could substitute cole slaw, but the guide said their cole slaw contained gluten.
I HIGHLY recommend coming here for anyone gluten free. Most items are gluten free on the menu but they do a good job outlining what to NOT have. Our waiter was great. He asked tons of good questions (change gloves? Did my husband want to also substitute his toast to avoid cross-contamination? Etc). Even when someone else brought out my meal she said “celiac barbecue potato”. I felt very safe eating here and had no issues. It’s also delicious!
My daughter had ribs and a few sides. Waitress asked valid questions about preparation and seemed very helpful. The restaurant seems like a bit of a tourist attraction and the staff seemed unable to handle the crowds. Our 1/2 hour wait to be seated turned into well over an hour. We arrived at 4:30 so try to get there earlier if you plan on eating dinner.
We have celiac as well as other food allergies in the house and Jack Stack is wonderful. They have an allergy menu that not only lists what allergens are present, but tells you how to modify it to make it GF, dairy free, etc (no bun, no cheese, etc.) They include every sauce and meat they serve and offer GF buns. The allergen menu is very thorough. Waiters always seem to be very knowledgeable and confirm everything directly with the kitchen. We’ve eaten there many times and always had good experiences.
