Amazing food. Chips are in dedicated fryer. Their nachos are fabulous, huge portions and all GF. Highly recommend.

Great place! Chips were gf and in their own fryer. Had the Dungeness crab enchiladas (mariscos) and they were super delicious! Waiter was so helpful and familiar with gluten free. Margaritas were pretty tasty to boot!

Aka “Javi’s” and located through TSA security between gates 13 & 14 SNA

I’m severe celiac who rarely eats out. This was a WONDERFUL experience. Separate frier to assure chips are gluten free. Knowledgeable and kind staff. I’m also very picky with food flavor & texture which doesn’t make having and allergy and eating out easy. Food flavors are wonderful (salsa actually has a kick) and the overall food quality, for someone who eats all organic and stays away from processed foods as a whole, is actually decent for an airport. Highly recommend you give this a shot.

Between Gates 13 & 14 this Mexican cantina lounge has some GF options at John Wayne. They have other locations and but under the name “Javier’s” which is why there is another review for this location, but didn’t show when searching for options. Nothing is marked on the menu, but the server assured us the chips are GF and have a separate fryer. Great options and drinks for anyone traveling.

This place is fantastic! I have Celiac and a dairy allergy, so eating during travel is always worrisome. The server was extremely knowledgeable about safe options and had the head chef overseeing all meal preparations after changing gloves, using clean knives, cutting boards, etc. to prevent cross contamination. Their chips are made in a dedicated fryer, so are truly gluten free. After eating, the chef even came out to ask about my meal and verify that everything had settled well. I had a chicken and steak street taco with rice and beans. Everything was delicious! Will definitely visit again next time I’m traveling through SNA. Thanks for helping those of us with food allergies!
