If you have food allergies, this is a safe place to go. I have Celiac, as well as a rare and severe food intolerance to all fruit, which can include vinegars, sweeteners, citric acid, natural flavorings, etc. This was only my fourth time eating out in almost 4 years. I was understandably nervous, but decided to give it a try based off these reviews and I just want to say, the staff was exceptional. I called ahead and was able to ask the chef and the servers about their ingredients and protocols for cross contamination, which they explained very thoroughly (they have a separate space in the kitchen, gluten free soy sauce and eel sauce, will change their gloves, etc). They also asked to write down my more specific questions about my order, and found the answers and were prepared for when I arrived. When we got there, the restaurant was crowded but Kaylee (I hope I spelled your name right, sorry!) and Harrison were on top of it!! They were both so knowledgeable about the foods and ingredients, and always double-checked everything. They answered all of my questions and concerns, made sure that there was no cross-contamination of any kind, and put my mind at ease. It was the best experience I've had so far at a restaurant since my diagnosis! They were so willing to work with me, and did not make me feel like a burden. I know it is not easy to accomodate someone in my situation but they did it with kindness, patience and ease. I did not get sick after, so I know that my food was truly gluten free and fruit free. I ordered the Philly Roll (with fruit-free adaptations) and Nigiri, and it was so delicious and fresh. 100/10 recommend!! That night was a very special occasion, so I am so, so grateful that I got to spend it with delicious food and dear friends. I will definitely be going back, especially now that I know what I can order safely. Thank you!!
