Jersey Mike’s is great. They have gf Udi’s bread. They wipe down the counter, cover it in fresh paper, change gloves, wipe down the slicer, use a separate knife, and use Mayo from a squeeze bottle rather than the spreader used for regular subs. I’m not sure about toppings because they are reaching into the same bins but I was happy with their process!

Yummy subs on gluten free rolls that don't fall apart. We have 2 very sensitive celiacs in our house. We have ordered subs from Jersey Mike’s on at least 10 occasions and have never had any reaction or issue. And they are very friendly, too!

Staff seemed to take gluten allergy seriously while preparing. But the sauces are certainly not GF. If you have severe celiac, you’ll want to avoid the BBQ sauces. Thankfully they list the ingredients online. Super helpful.
Otherwise food was good.

Staff here is great about avoiding cross contamination and using new cutting boards and utensils. Takes a little extra time but completely worth it. I always appreciate how knowledgeable they are!! Sandwiches are delicious!

They are wonderful about using all new knives and wash down all surfaces before taking your order and have gluten free bread!

I can’t believe how great these people are! They totally understand gluten free needs and are the most patient restaurant ever! Every option they give to people without gluten free needs they have for a gluten free option! (Except for the meat ball). You just get gluten free bread! (Which if I don’t say myself, if very tasty!) the staff is very kind and has no problem at all giving someone a gluten free meal. As for the taste, there subs are delicious! These people are amazing! I totally recommend coming to this place!!!!!

AMAZING! to be able to eat an actual sub, holy cow! ok, the staff, when I was there, was amazing. Did everything right. New cutting board, knife, gloves, offered new toppings, cleaned the grill, ect.... asked me questions, "allergy or preference".... they were so good! the roll was big!!!!! And pretty tasty!!!! the only downfall, if any, was the price. A small GF sub & a water, $15 a large Italian, $20! there is a hefty additional fee for the GF roll..... personally, I am ok paying it because it taste good and staff did everything right! I can't wait to go back! (this was the Beverly, MA location)

Great gluten free subs! I’ve only tried the cold subs because they use a new knife and cutting board for the bread. The cold cuts are gluten free so no worries there either. I was hesitant to try a hot sub due to cross contamination on the grill. The turkey cold sub was awesome! I am super sensitive with Celiac diagnosed over 15 years ago and I was totally fine after.
website says cross contamination is possible as it's prepared in the same place as wheat bread subs
No
It’s been 10 years since I’ve been able to go to a sub shop and order an Italian sub w xxtra hots!! I loved every bite and the staff was knowledge about gluten free w severe allergy

$2.50 extra for gluten-free bread. Sandwiches are good. They were pretty good with precautions. Still, if I were super sensitive, I’d be worried about the amount of wheat flour crumbs floating around.

Service took a while. I ordered ahead of time even. I waited around 15 minutes once I arrived and was told it would take longer because of my allergy. Overall bread was hard and fell apart while eating it.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get a gf sub. They asked allergy or preference, wiped down the counter, put down paper, used a clean knife, changed gloves, and were cool about grabbing toppings from the back. They even moved the sandwich to fresh paper at the end of the line instead of wrapping in the paper that had sat on crumbs. Altogether I was impressed! At most locations I have to correct things as I go down the line, but the two staff who interacted with me here seemed very well trained on gf protocols.

They ask if you have an allergy or preference when it comes to the gluten free bread. After stating I have an allergy they cleaned the slicer, the counter, and all of the staff switched gloves. A new employee had accidentally used the mayo knife so they gave me new bread and then they use the squeeze bottle of mayo to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, and aware of how to handle my allergy.

Amazing processes and protocols for safe handling of gluten free sandwiches to avoid cross contact. They explained their protocol to me without me prompting or asking any leading questions, showing me that know how to prevent cross contact.
