They’re really as careful as they can be for a place with so much bread around. The Udis bread they use isn’t fantastic, but it’s sure nice to be able to Hager a regular sub. I think it’s a $2 up charge for gluten free. They change gloves and seem to be careful.

They take great care to prevent cross contamination.

Love this place. Was recommended by a gluten-sensitive friend and I took a chance. Gluten free sub rolls by Udi are kept in a separate place from the tradtional wheat rolls. They wipe down the work area and put down a fresh piece of wrapping paper. I've been several times now and no issues. Highly recommend!

For a chain sandwich place, I have to give credit where it is due for the great staff.... especially the manager. They do have a dedicated space for gluten free sandwiches and take the time to change gloves, use dedicated utensils, etc. I’ve never had an issue from eating there. Because they do have a dedicated space and are crowded during peak hours, I would recommend calling and ordering ahead of time. I’ve always felt bad when they have to send one of their staff off to make me a sandwich when they need them on the line for their regular customers. Food is good... but their amazing manager who goes out of his way for me, gave them an extra star.

They do not understand cross-contamination at this jersey Mike’s.

Udi's bread for the GF subs. Rather expensive place plus an additional upgrade for being GF.

The staff was super cautious. She cleaned the meat slicer and the counter before doing anything. They all changed gloves before making my sandwich. Great place and very friendly

I didn’t see any mention of gluten free bread so I would have assumed there was nothing for me but I heard about it by word of mouth. They have gluten free bread that was wrapped separately. When I asked for it, everyone on the line washed their hands, changed their gloves and wiped down all surfaces. Then they pulled out a new knife and made my sub. It was nice to have a club sandwich again! To top it off, they had gluten free cookies.

Very friendly and knowledgeable! Prepared our food with a seperate slicer and in a different area. Food was great so many options for gluten free. Will definitely go back when we travel through GA again!

I go here a lot with my family, and we can get the gluten free Udis sub bread. We do not have celiac disease, but they ask in case they need to wash down the grill to prevent cross-contamination. I recommend this place to my friends, and they can eat there, too. 😊

They have UDI’s gluten free sub rolls that are individually wrapped and are separate. When I ordered my sub the made it in a separate area to avoid cross contamination.

Not only do they have gluten free bread (regular and giant sized), but the staff has been very knowledgeable about gluten/cross-contamination and friendly every time I have eaten there. Plus the sandwiches have always been great! The cheesesteaks and Italian subs always hit the spot. Can't recommend this location enough.

Very educated on gluten allergies. One employee was new and I watched them train him on gluten free allergy prep and handling and it was very thorough. Plus-they have gluten free buns which is hard to find at sub places. Will be back!

Watch them like a hawk. They brought mine over to the main area and was cutting bread over it and the kid was going to touch it with contaminated gloves. It’s was thrown away and remade without me asking. Don’t think I’ll ever trust eating here again.

Very safe! Gave it 4 stars because the GF bread is crumbly if not super fresh. They changed gloves and were kind.

The staff is trained to avoid cross contamination while prepping your sub with GF Udi’s bread. They also have Udi’s individually wrapped cookies. I eat it often and have never had a problem.

The grill is used to toast regular bread and that's where they cook everything, so it's cold subs only. There were so many crumbs and shared surfaces that I didn't want to risk it.

The staff will change gloves, clean the cutting saw, use produce that has not gotten crumbs on them, use a mayo container from a cupboard. They do have gluten free bread.

Staff cleaned the work space around the meat grinder, the counter tops. Glove change and paper change at the bread station, veggie station and final wrap. I had the GF bread #13. They even had mayo and mustard in squeeze bottles to prevent cc instead of the main container.

They have a new separate slicer in the back for gluten free subs. They will also get toppings fresh from the back when you ask.

Asked if our request for gotten free bread was allergy or preference. Cleaned the grill, had clean other things. Seemed knowledgeable about cross contamination.

Gluten free bread tasted great! Had them toast the bun with oil on it...came out perfect! Ask for Chris if he’s around. He really knows how to spruce up the taste!

I have celiac and am very sensitive! Have eaten there 3 times and no issues! Appreciate that they offer GF sandwiches! I always get steak and cheese! It's my go to!

Went twice, both times the sandwiches were made in a separate prep space. First time the manager walked me through the meats he knew were safe, settled on turkey. Very kind and accommodating. I went back today and got the same order - he remembered me and my order from three weeks back. Unfortunately I was glutened. Noticed the box of gloves they grabbed from was near the main prep area..not sure if that was the culprit or not. Either way am sick so not going to rate as safe but best experience I've had at a fast food placeso 5 stars.

Amazing place, they sanitized the area before cooking and the gluten free sandwich was so good!! 100% recommended

Very good gluten free subs. My only complaint is the price, and to a lesser extent the bread is super dense.

Horrible experience at this location. The refused to get items to go on sandwich from back. They changed gloves but items being touched by new gloves had also been touched by employees making normal subs. We walked oht

The staff cleaned the area and the meat cutter. I wouldn’t get any toppings unless you ask for them to get fresh stuff because they get it out of the same containers they use for the gluten buns. I checked with my Nima(with meat/cheese/no toppings) and it came back gluten free.

They have been open for two weeks at York and Schwann Roads. The manager is fantastic. He has trained his staff well. They change gloves immediately and are so kind about making the safe preparation. They clean the grill thoroughly and toppings are gotten from the back area. There is a separate preparation area. And... all of this is done with a smile!! So nice to get a hot sub out! No problems afterward as well!! I will be back there!! Along with my family!!

Amazing staff!! They said they go above and beyond what corporate requires as far as keeping everything safe and they meant it. They changed gloves, wiped everything down, used a lined tray to take my gluten-free sub through the line. They used a separate knife and a separate bottle of mayo. Super nice guys who totally get it!

They were careful about cross contamination when making our gluten free sub by a glove and prep space change but didn’t clean slicer or open a new meat or cheese. And then another server wrapped the sandwich at the end without a glove change. My celiac son ended up getting sick. They do sell pre-packed Udis gluten free cookies though.

So excited to finally try this restaurant! I’m happy to get the very unusual sandwich with actual bread. The food was good. The bread did fall apart, but the sandwich was good. So happy!

Staff was incompetent. They were insulted when I question their cross-contamination habits. Person slicing turkey handled bread before slicing turkey, proceeded to tell me they only change gloves when they touch the gluten-free bread. Manager proceeded to speak very loudly, 3 times they cannot guarantee 100% gluten-free. That “everything in there has touched gluten”!! Was glutenized!! Not accommodating even for gluten intolerant. Celiac’s beware!
