Are there 0 stars? I asked if they could take care of me because they were busy. They said yes. They didn’t have what I ordered so I said yes to something else, which was going to be a bowl. I received a sandwich. On a hunch I opened it and found it had dairy and what looked like a regular bun. They did give me a refund, but now I’m on a 6+hour flight with no food. Because this is already a 24 hour delay I do have many options. This feels like a human right!
They announced my allergy down the line. They changed their gloves and the manager watched the woman ( caught her ) before she used a reg knife on my sandwich and redirected her to the gluten free knife. Udi’s bread was individually wrapped, she placed a clean paper on the counter. For the quick lunch it was I felt very safe!!
When I ordered gluten free bread the employee asked immediately if it was an allergy or preference. Even though the line was long and it was a busy flying day I’m glad they took the precautions seriously. Separate prep space, changed gloves, came in a tub rather than paper to avoid CC. Only thing is they don’t do additions to allergy orders such as mayo (only subtractions). Didn’t get sick and will be a go-to when traveling through the airport!
Did not ask about allergy, didn't clean or wipe anything down and mixed the bread with regular bread. Not near as good as other Jersey Mikes
My GF sandwich was made separately like all other Jersey Mike’s. They put it in a plastic container that never touched the counter and I didn’t need to worry about cross contamination with a knife either because they didn’t cut it (that gave me more peace of mind!). They had one GF roll left when I went around 7pm. No reaction at all several hours later. Very happy to have a GF option in an airport!
Business trip took me here. I had hard time eating the whole trip and i wanted to avoid eating at the airport. But, i was so hungry. Read the previous comment and im trying it out. Food was okay, waiting to see of i would have and hard time or not in the plane. Will edit if something happen.
They provide an Udi brand gluten free sandwich bun. They also asked if it was a for preference or a allergy. My daughter has Celiac and they carefully prepared her sandwich for her. All of their sandwiches were available on the GF sandwich bun. I know in an airport it is really hard to find a place without cross-contamination but I felt this was a really good options. We will be going to Jersey Mike’s from now on.
They had gluten free UDI’s bread and lots of safety measures to ensure no cross contamination! My order was marked as an allergy so the workers can change their gloves and the sandwich goes down the assembly line in a plastic container so it never touches other surfaces. One of the best airport options I’ve had!
I was really impressed by the safety measures that were taken with my food! I said that I had celiac disease and he went in the back to get my Udi's sub roll out of a sealed package, then he got out a Togo box from the container that hadn't been sitting out. He changed his gloves and sliced the turkey directly onto the sandwich. This was the best gluten-free option I found at CLT. The sandwich was really good. I got this after I had already tried to eat at Tequileria without much satisfaction.
Went here twice. First time was great! Second time was complete opposite: terrible! Ordered GF bread and the lady didn’t repeat it back. I told her I had a GF allergy and needed GF bread and she continued to ignore me. She gave me my total and I asked her if she got if it was GF, and she asked for the next customer in line. I checked the receipt and it did not say GF bread. I asked another employee if it was supposed to say GF and she said yes and told someone else that it was supposed to be GF and dairy free. While waiting, the lady who took my order loudly complained to a friend about how I came back to check to see if it was GF and that it wasn’t a big deal while pointing and looking at me! When I finally got the sandwich it wasn’t dairy free and I honestly was too scared to eat the sandwich because the weeks of pain after are not worth it. DO NOT EAT HERE! They do not take your allergy seriously and it is not worth the risk.
