Very careful. All employees aware of the cross contamination protocol and carefully changed gloves, clean counter, etc .. Would definitely recommend!!

Their gluten free bread is definitely gluten free! Did not flare up one bit. But it wasn’t the best tasting, compared to other gluten free sandwiches/subs I’ve had.

They use Udi's prepackaged sub rolls (full size!) and take the proper steps to ensure no cross contamination. On top of that, the staff had a very positive attitude despite having to go out of their way while it was busy. I'm happy to see Jersey Mike's didn't just throw GF buns on the menu, but actually trained and educated their employees.

The staff is absolutely amazing! Such a fun and inviting atmosphere where ordering gluten free doesn’t have to give you a headache! The staff is enthusiastic in general, and they are so careful to change gloves and use fresh knives to cut your sub! Awesome place to go for people with celiac and without!

I've never been to a Jersey Mike's before, so I don't know what their normal food handling protocols are. I got an email saying they went gf nationwide, so I went and told the person taking my order that I had Celiac's. They use prewrapped Udi's rolls, prepare your sub on parchment paper, and use separate utensils from what they normally use. The girl cut my roll with the regular knife first, realized her mistake, tossed the roll and parchment paper, changed her gloves, and started fresh. I didn't get sick and thought my sub was very yummy!! I had no idea they cut the meats and cheeses fresh for each sub! Oh man, have I missed subs!!

$2.50 extra for gluten-free bread. Sandwiches are good. They were pretty good with precautions. Still, if I were super sensitive, I’d be worried about the amount of wheat flour crumbs floating around.

Service took a while. I ordered ahead of time even. I waited around 15 minutes once I arrived and was told it would take longer because of my allergy. Overall bread was hard and fell apart while eating it.

I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get a gf sub. They asked allergy or preference, wiped down the counter, put down paper, used a clean knife, changed gloves, and were cool about grabbing toppings from the back. They even moved the sandwich to fresh paper at the end of the line instead of wrapping in the paper that had sat on crumbs. Altogether I was impressed! At most locations I have to correct things as I go down the line, but the two staff who interacted with me here seemed very well trained on gf protocols.

They ask if you have an allergy or preference when it comes to the gluten free bread. After stating I have an allergy they cleaned the slicer, the counter, and all of the staff switched gloves. A new employee had accidentally used the mayo knife so they gave me new bread and then they use the squeeze bottle of mayo to prevent cross contamination. Everyone was very friendly, understanding, and aware of how to handle my allergy.

Amazing processes and protocols for safe handling of gluten free sandwiches to avoid cross contact. They explained their protocol to me without me prompting or asking any leading questions, showing me that know how to prevent cross contact.
