My husband and I are both gluten free. We were stoked to see that Jersey Mike's was partnering with Udi's and excited to be able to grab a quick sandwich out again! We have been to Jersey Mike's twice since they rolled out their new gluten free sandwich and the sandwich itself is pretty good. Basically what I remember a quick sub out being before I knew I couldn't eat gluten. Nothing gourmet, but quick and semi-healthy. The problem is really with the staff making it. Maybe other locations would be better, but the Woodbridge location will not be getting more of our business. The first time we went the staff wasn't friendly, but they took the precautions I expected- changing gloves, washing down the deli slicer, using mayo from the fridge in a squeeze bottle instead of the bin with the spreader, making our sandwiches on paper, then wrapping the sandwich in new paper. However, the second time when we asked for our sandwiches on gluten free the woman huffed and said, "well it's really a whole rigamarole." After we didn't say, "oh well, then I guess we will leave," she reluctantly started cleaning the slicer. Apparently she still wasn't sold on having to work so she added, "you know, it's $3 more for gluten free." Apparently she expected that the $3 would deter us from having an allergy :( In addition to this we got to witness the staff (of which their are many despite the fact that only one person seems to work at any given time) fighting with another customer who complained that the soda fountain was not dispensing soda. They refused to check the machine for her and then just ignored her till she left.

Celiac friendly?
