Where to start? Ask for GF menu. Request burger with ONLY burger and cheese, NOTHING else. There was next to nothing on the GF menu, to start with. If you like seafood, a few choices. My burger comes out with a bun. I say NO, I didn’t ask for a bun and definitely not a regular bun. Waitress looks at me, completely clueless and says oh, ok. Comes back 5 mins later and says “hey Mama, is this a choice thing or?” First of all, I am NOT your Mama. Most of all, NO. This isn’t a choice, unless I want to end up in the hospital, then I guess I’d choose that nightmare. Oh, she says, my manager doesn’t know about gluten free, we were just going to take the bun off. I can’t even. My husband was about to come unglued, I was almost in tears. The other 3 in our party were done with their meals when my burger finally shows up. The waitress tried again to play things off-then hands us the check for not one but 2 burgers-AFTER my husband says my burger should not be charged for. I spent most of the night ill, obviously cross contamination. I NEVER should have eaten the burger. Next time I’ll starve. As we leave, we are offered a free appetizer if we come back next day. I’d sooner drive to the ER and say just take some intestine, now. Crohns and Celiac are definitely NOT something one should claim to cater to but have not a single member of your kitchen or wait staff have a clue about. AVOID AT ALL COST!
I feel safe eating here but they don’t have many options unless you want a steak.
Great food every time we eat there and they are very careful with food prep. I never have an issue with anything from the gf menu as long as I let them know I am celiac. even takeout hasn't been an issue.
First time trying a joeys was in Vancouver that was an amazing experience and can't what to try it here in Kelowna
I've never had have a problem here and they take it seriously. Some delicious options.
I've eaten there many times without incident. I understand they stop and clean down thoroughly before preparing for a celiac.
We had a wonderful meal here to celebrate my son's birthday. I'm the celiac, and had no issues. The staff was knowledgeable about gluten-free issues. Be sure and save some room for dessert. The g-free version of Happy Ending is to die for! We'll definitely be back.
