AMAZING fried chicken biscuit. They had a whole menu of gluten free items (taped to back of register). It included both breakfast and lunch. Was assured that they had separate fryers and I had no issues. Will definitely be back

I was so excited when the fried chicken sandwich came out and looked crispy. I was afraid it was not GF. It was very good and the staff was great. I left with a bag of GF cornbread mix & a bag of GF cornbread chips that I can’t wait to try. Definitely recommend. Bonus, there are parking lots nearby with the first hour of parking free, which is ample time for dining at Joyland. Wish we lived here & could come often, their burgers looked really good!

I went with the GF fried chicken sandwich on a GF bun and crinkle fries. Told them I have celiac disease and they assured me they switch gloves to prevent cross contamination. When I ordered, they made clear to the staff it was celiac. The sandwich was so delicious! Fries too! I’ll be back to try the burger and the chicken on a stick!

My teen and I stayed at an Airbnb not far from here and decided to see if Joyland was all that everyone said it is. We went about 5:15 on a Tuesday and waited behind a group of 6 and several other small groups were already seated and eating.
We both ordered the fried chicken sandwiches. When I questioned it being GF, I was told, “it’s an option”. So be sure to clarify. I gathered that the hand bread and fry it up to order because our food came after those that arrived behind us. But it wasn’t a long wait.
Sandwiches were hot so we ate some fries which were delicious. Then we could only eat half our sandwiches! Not sure if we just had small appetites, or they were big. But we got boxes for lunch tomorrow.
No complaints about anything, just not sure it was worth $40 for two sandwich combos with fountain drinks.

After 15 years of being gluten free, I’ve never had fried chicken! It was the best meal of 2023! It’s a must stop if you are gf in Nash!

Gluten-free buns are individually wrapped and staff are trained to change gloves & clean workstation before assembling your order. They’ll mark your order “Celiac” so there are *zero* mistakes. Nice Impossible burger and the crinkle fries are gluten-free, too. Yay!

Joyland is a great place to visit! I personally loved their “Joystick” it was so juicy, and savory. For breakfast, I would 1000% recommend their hash browns and cheese biscuit , they are probably the most delicious thing I’ve ever had. They also have plenty of gluten free options including the “Joystick, hash browns, and many other options! Staff is also super friendly and helpful!

While the crinkle fries were great and my fried chicken sandwich was so yummy after two bites I realized I had been served the non gluten free version. Owner was very responsive in email afterwards and took the situation seriously. I will try it again in the future but be sure to triple check that I am actually getting gluten free.

Yummy gluten free offerings! The bun was one of the best I have had. The fried chicken stick was very tasty and tender. The crinkle fries and waffle hash browns were both so delicious.

The food is great! The staff can be hit or miss though. Sometimes they are incredibly supportive and other times they seem like asking about gluten free precautions is too much. Some of the best burgers and fries chicken I have ever had though! One time I ordered to go and they sent me with a regular biscuit. Called them and they said not to eat it and refunded me as well as gave me my next order for free. You can tell they WANT to provide a wonderful gluten free experience, they just need to train their staff a little better.

When Joyland first opened, I ate there a handful of times with no issues. Most of the menu is available gluten free, including some of the fries and the fried chicken. However, last time I went there a few days ago, the place had completely gone downhill. The cashier taking our order was completely apathetic and clearly did not want to be there. I asked if they still had a separate space for cooking the gluten free items and she said yes without hesitating or double checking anything. Behind her, I could see the two guys working the grill and was not at all confident that there was actually a safe spot on the grill based on what I saw. We ended up getting a refund and leaving, because cross contact was clearly not a concern for the staff, and i felt extremely uncomfortable with the environment and risk I would be taking.

I have celiac and have to eat gluten free. I just ate at this restaurant for the first time and now I’ve been throwing up alll night….
I asked the guy if the milkshakes are gluten free, and he said “yes” and I said “which ones?” (knowing malt has gluten in it) and he said “all of them” and I said “are you sure?” and he said “yes, all of them.”
I ordered a gluten free chicken sandwich meal with crinkle fries and a chocolate shake. I am so sick. This has been horrible. Do NOT eat here if you have celiac.

I’ve eaten here about half a dozen times, both in house and delivery. I’ve never gotten sick from anything I’d eaten there. So far I’ve tried everything but the burgers.
I know that since this is not a dedicated facility some won’t feel comfortable eating here, but so far so good for me. I just really like that there’s something I can order that’s near where I work. I will note that I am generally fairly sensitive to cross contamination. Your mileage may vary. Eating out always feels like a 50/50 gamble to me either way.

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER before you eat it! I ordered delivery (didn't have a car) and I ordered crinkle fires, which are the only GF fries. The curly fries are NOT GF. When I got my ordered I noticed the fries were curly so I called the restaurant to make sure they were not safe to eat and they said yes. Unfortunately the fries had gotten into the rest of my meal and I couldn't eat any of it. The restaurant said they would refund me and could remake it but couldn't redeliver. I asked if I reordered, if they would double check it was GF and they did. The manager said he would be speaking to his staff about the mixup because they so pride themselves on safety. The new food I got was delicious and I would recommend them but double check everything.

Have eaten here multiple times with no bad reaction. All gluten-free options are marked on online menu and staff is knowledgeable about Celiac and GF options. Items are always marked appropriately. Dedicated fryer for GF fries and chicken.
Almost all food items available gluten-free, including burgers, fried chicken, and waffle fries.
Great fast food option for Celiacs.

Ordered online and marked GF for each item ordered. Tested each item with my Nima only to reveal gluten found in each. Those with celiac beware. When I called I was told they take precautions but there is regular flour used in the kitchen. That alone will mean I will NEVER try it again. So disappointed.

Not gluten free despite having a conversation with them ahead of time. The food tasted great until I started swelling up because of the gluten. For those less sensitive they may be alright.

Emailed with the manager prior to eating at the restaurant, he ensured safety protocols. Spoke on the phone to place the carry out order, stating I had celiac disease. Tested everything in my Nina sensor- burger, corn dog, fried chicken sandwich- everything came back tearing positive for gluten.

I had been craving a very egg bacon and cheese McMuffin kind of breakfast sandwich. Sure enough, this was the gluten free equivalent I’ve been waiting for, and it’s delicious!! High quality foods and I believe they make their own gf biscuits. There is a separate fryer for the hashbrowns and fried chicken. Will be making this my regular go to place before my hikes!! Love this place!! Well done Sean Brock!!

Amazing restaurant and owner. I’ve had the biscuit and the burger and both are excellent. I’m celiac and have yet to get sick here. I haven’t tried the fries but those are marked as containing gluten. Biscuits are great and are not the typical tough GF you have to settle for at most places that offer them.
