Review of Kay's Place

Who would expect a small restaurant off a freeway exit would have so many gluten free options. Found it on this site when we were in the area. Asked for the GF menu which was very extensive. I asked the waitress if they used GF bread and she hesitated. Turned out she was training and clueless. She called another waitress over who assured me they take GF seriously and my food would be cooked separately. I had a patty melt that was very good. Didn't love the coleslaw (I'm kinda coleslaw picky). Learned on the way out many of the soups are GF as well as the owner's history about accommodating people with Celiac Disease. Wish I lived closer.
