Read the reviews and decided to give this place a try while we were at Mont St Michel. Their galettes are 100% gluten free, and you can even use a galette for a sweet crepe if you want. They have a sit-down area and a to-go stand. We got savory crepes at the restaurant and then sweet crepes to-go. They were so delicious!!! And I didn’t get sick from eating there.

To clarify, in France a savory pancake is a galette made with buckwheat. A sweet pancake is a crepe made with wheat. La Cloche makes their galettes with 100% buckwheat flour, zero wheat. I had a savory galette with ham and egg. I asked if they would be willing to make a sweet galette for me since I'm GF and they did. I had a banana chocolate galette and it was delicious. So even if it's not on the menu, ask!

Read others reviews, and decided to inquire directly with the establishment. Crepes are labeled 100% Buckwheat on their menu. Confirmed with the staff, and opted to take the chance and try their crepes. So glad we did, as they were delicious! And nobody in our Celiac and wheat allergy group felt "glutened"!

If you are looking for some take away food in Mont-Saint-Michel (FR) with no gluten inside, this is the right place. Most of the places have sandwiches or French toasts. Here you can find "galettes" (salty crêpes) made with buckwheat. You can choose the ingredients that you want inside. I have taken one with bacon and eggs. It was good.

Savory pancakes (crepes) are made with 100% buckwheat. I asked the person who spoke the best English to clean off the crepe maker before heating mine. They’re made on the same surface as the sweet ones (which contain gluten), but are kept in separate boxes before heating. Had the jamon et fromage (ham and cheese) and it was delicious.
