Fantastic small Italian restaurant. Best crispy potatoes ever! Although my order was mixed up so came out later, they took it off the bill and all the food was delicious! I highly recommend for homemade gf pasta

We had a lovely pasta a few nights ago. Locanda has a small menu that changes every few weeks. Most pasta's can be made glutenfree and dairy free. So there will always be options for you to eat! It was really delicious!

Delicious Italian food, fantastic and knowledgeable staff. The menu is quite small, but about half of the main menu items on it had a gf option, so I felt like I had plenty to choose from—all the starters could be gf as well. They make their own gf pasta and bread daily. I had the smoked burrata starter, and smoked salmon linguine main (both specials for the evening), and they were phenomenal. Great experience, and definitely the best Italian food I’ve had since my Crliac diagnosis 8 years ago.

Most of the menu can be made gluten free and the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful/friendly about allergens. We had a lovely buffala mozzarella starter that was naturally gluten free and an accommodated gluten free pasta pappardelle with ragu (we were reassured that it was cooked separately, and I had no reaction afterwards) that was delicious! The place is small, so reservations are definitely recommended.

We were told almost anything on the menu could be made gluten free. Staff were attentive and the food was absolutely incredible. 10/10 would go again!

Amazing wee restaurant! Most things can be made gluten free and staff were so kind when asking about it. Im still learning to deal with coeliac disease but eating here was so pleasurable! The salmon linguine special was amazing!

They have the best GF pasta I’ve ever had. Nearly all of the menu can be made gluten free, and the staff are very knowledgeable. If you’re in Edinburgh, this place isn’t one to miss!

Our lunch here was actually life changing. So amazing, in fact, that we went back that afternoon for dessert. Smoked salmon bruschetta, a (completely celiac safe!) breaded chicken dish, raspberry cheesecake, lemon polenta cake, the list could go on and on! We sat next to the owner too- I believe her son has celiac, and she has spent years perfecting her Italian recipes to be both GF and delicious for him. She is very invested in serving delicious, healthy, and safe food for all. Could not recommend this place more.

Great little cafe off the High Street. GF items marked on menu. I had a frittata and salad for mains. The lemon polenta cake was a tasty dessert also! Beautifully presented and equally enjoyed!!

Possibly the best gluten free meal I have had!! Wasn’t sure what to expect but hands down the best meal I ate in Edinburgh. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful too. Would 100% recommend.

My family enjoyed their food as well, and the staff was willing to explore various different options both for my picky eaters and fir my dietary restrictions. No kids menu though... and a bit on the expensive side. But no reaction so well worth it!
