They have a shared fryer so no chips or taquitos! I love it here, the servers have always been very helpful and kind. I get the double decker shrimp taco (with a soft corn tortilla) and a crunchy corn tortilla. They didn't have an extensive menu, but everything I had was so delicious. They were so kind and generous to bring soft corn tortillas to go with the queso. My review was in response to the negative reviews, just so people know a very symptomatic Celiac loves it here.
Very meh experience. Although I don’t expect a whole lot in terms of safety from this restaurant, I do expect a level of respect from servers. When I asked for warm corn tortillas with my queso instead of tortilla chips due to no fryer separation, my server responded with a rude tone telling me he’s had numerous folks with gluten allergies do fine with their tortilla chips. He was not knowledgeable about what else was safe on the menu.
I enjoy spending happy hour time with my friends at Lady Nomada. The drink specials are good and there are several options for gluten free dining. I have the Birria Street Tacos. Unfortunately, the chips (nachos) are not fried in a dedicated fryer so I can’t join in and nibble on chips with the gang. (For some reason, this is a difficult thing for me. Going to a Mexican restaurant and not being able to eat the chips is always so disappointing.) I feel like the wait staff are very knowledgeable and helpful but I’m not entirely clear on all the safety factors.
had pork tacos and queso with soft corn tortillas. grand margarita was quite a bit too sour for my taste, but queso was delicious and the tacos were good. server was very knowledgeable and even brought a separate cup to divvy up the queso with my daughter (not celiac) to avoid cross contamination.
Super fun restaurant! The waitress was knowledgeable and there were options for gluten-free but not sure if it is safe for celiacs. They do not fry anything in a separate fryer. The guacamole is a little spicy especially if you want to share it with your children lol but I thought it was yummy.
We decided to give this place a try and we loved it. The food was so delicious plus a unique and original atmosphere. Our waitress was also very knowledgeable, understanding and careful about celiac and cross contamination. After we let our waitress know that I had celiac another staff member came to our table and walked us through everything that was gluten free on the menu as well as what was not. Definitely want to come back.
2nd time here. No issues the first time around.
Server was friendly and aware of severity of celiac, but was not fully sure about the menu. It was described as most dishes are gluten free or can be made gluten free with corn tortillas. The frier is not dedicated. Other than a bite to the kitchen about the allergy, I am not aware of other kitchen measures specific for cross contamination prevention.
I ordered Barilla tacos with rice and beans. Will provide an update I feel sick.
