Our daughter is Celiac and they know exactly what to do at Lewis Barbecue to accommodate her. They change their gloves, the get out a new cutting board, they get brand new meat. Everyone we have ever had help us has been knowledgeable and kind. It is always an relaxing experience to eat there knowing we don't have to worry.

I said “celiac,” and the people on the line immediately began a glove change. Then one went to the back for the GF cutting board because they use the main cutting board for meat and bread. Everything on the menu was GF except 2 sides. The food was great, which is high praise coming from this Texan!

This place is amazing - make sure to tell them you’re celiac. I ordered pulled pork and beef brisket with pinto beans and kale. Ate twice. Both times I did not get sick.

Their food is amazing and their staff is well trained. None of the meat has gluten in the spice or sauces. All sauces are made in house and are GF. Some of the sides, including the potato salad, collards and beans, are GF. If you say you have an allergy or are celiac, they will bring out a clean cutting board and knife and cut only from uncut meats. Safest place in town for celiacs and I run into many here who say it’s the only place they feel comfortable going to. Amazing food too!
