Easy to find and extremely safe when it comes to food safety. The cinnamon roll is delicious, it’s so exciting to finally find a gluten free cinnamon roll after years of not having one❤ Totally separate area for GF. And different microwave to warm up. Very knowledgeable staff and so friendly!

yummy GF cinnamon rolls, and other bakery items as well. The lemon bars are amazing! Have a little area with all of their GF items!

Yummy gluten free cinnamon rolls were the perfect breakfast before we walked over to the Monterey Aquarium. The GF rolls are stored in a separate covered case, she used tongs to grab them, they have a paper pastry cup around them, and a separate microwave to warm them. Super yummy!! And very pleased with this cute little bakeries GF procedures :)

I ate the GF cinnamon roll with icing. It was amazing. If I lived in Monterey, I would want one every week. The staff seemed very diligent about avoiding cross-contamination; they described their baking process and keeping things separate. Since I usually cannot eat baked goods when I am away from my own kitchen, this was delightful.

Visited during listed open hours, very much closed.
Excellent GF cinnamon rolls. We have been here several times & I’ve never reacted. This says a lot because I’m sensitive. Quick service. Ask them to warm the cinnamon roll (they are happy too) & it tastes even better!

Stopped in and was told the dedicated gluten free bakery was sold and the gluten free items are now baked in house with everything else

Picked up GF rolls and a GF donut and took them back to our hotel for the next day. We heated the cinnamon rolls in the microwave and they were warm and gooey. Not as gooey as a gluten roll but I was so excited to have rolls (we were staying at a Holiday Inn and couldn’t have the cinnamon rolls). The donut was on the drier side but I had put it in the fridge. Overall happy mom & kids!

Had an area off to the side inside the store with an assortment of gluten-free treats such as cookies and cinnamon rolls. Very nice people.

Stopped by hoping to try their GF rolls but they didn’t have them in stock. They did confirm that they bake them at the Mourning Dove facility which is GF. I appreciate that. Just wish they had them available to purchase at 11:00am on a Saturday. (They did say that is their own recipe, not that they resell MD’s rolls)

Agreed with the previous review - walked in to look and was similarly put off by the cinnamon rolls and cookies.
Did not ask about preparation, but they do keep the finished goods on the other side of the register from the gluten ones.

We walked in and asked about the GF options. We were directed to a single, small, enclosed container with a couple of items that looked old and unappealing. We walked out.
Edited to add:
I would NOT recommend this to a fellow celiac and am frustrated that my review indicates "celiac friendly". As a celiac, I walked out.

GF cinnamon rolls and cookies kept separately from other items and heated in a separate oven. They were the best I’ve had yet! No reaction

Very tasty cinnamon roll. They have a couple cookies too.
Got it heated up with frosting. Would recommend. No reaction.
Yes
Would highly recommend. The cinnamon rolls are excellent!!! We stopped there yesterday and again today. The gluten free rolls were kept separate from the other baked goods, so we felt really comfortable that they were safe to eat. I suggest going earlier in the day so they don’t run out. And, get it warmed up...so good.
Staff was very helpful. Had both frosted and unfrosted gf cinnamon rolls in stock as well as a few other gf baked goods. Roll was amazing and very sweet.
No GF cinnamon rolls in stock. GF ice cream cones, but no ice cream. Some GF cookies. Staff confused. Pretty disappointing.
Delicious gluten free cinnamon roll and coffee!
Not open till 9:00 just FYI best cinnamon roll I’ve had since diagnosis! Owner is very nice and aware about contamination. You can also ask for vegan frosting! Good size for gluten free, soft.
Yes
I had the gluten free cinnamon roll. Ask them to heat it. It was smaller than the other ones & kept in a separate case, but very tasty! I had no reactions.
Gluten free cinnamon roles are also vegan & they have vegan frosting. It was nice to have a cinnamon roll with my non-GF husband. The rolls were so yummy and being GF & DF it was really nice to have a hot sweet breakfast.
Yes
Unfrosted gluten free cinnamon roll was tasty and the gluten free chocolate chip cookies were soft! Yummy!
Yes
Gluten free cinnamon roll frosted was good and a nice treat. Lots of frosting. The roll by itself wouldn’t be as good and it definitely needs to be warm. Our son had the regular one which is much bigger. You can also get eggs and gluten free toast there. Close to the aquarium. Almond milk is available for coffee creamer.
Yummy gluten free and dairy free cinnamon rolls. It made my day to enjoy a cinnamon roll with my hubby on vacation.
Yes
Cinnamon rolls were tasty even a day later... lots of frosting on frosted ones!!! Chocolate chip cookies were still soft days later (left in small bag on counter). Soooo thankful to spy "gluten free" on the sandwich board outside the door. We went by around 6:00 first night, and then stopped by again before leaving Monterey around 7:00 and the GF items were sold out.
Yes
They do have gluten free cookies and cinnamon rolls but prices went up and portions got smaller
I agree with Jessica, really excited to find gluten free rolls. Price ridiculously high for a small roll and the roll is solid/ lacks any flakiness. I have made my own rolls and know the quality can be achieved. Recommend you try a new recipe and decrease the cost
I was really excited to find gluten free cinnamon rolls. They were quite the letdown though. They were very pricy and were small. It seems like after spending $14 for two I would have felt satisfied. I am giving them an extra star because they use a different display, a different work space, and changed gloves multiple times. A+ for GF understanding/care, C- for cost/quality
Yes
The roll was very over priced. Tiny roll for $5.60 plus tax. While finding gluten free is nice, the mark up is disappointing.
The GF cinnamon roll was incredible! All the G F items are under a glass covered cake plate to avoid cross contamination. GF Brownies and cookies are available too! Yum

Got a lemon scone, it was very dry and had no lemon flavor at all.
Clean trays between gluten and GF food, but everything's made in the same (small) room.

GF pecan pie: the pie crust tasted stale, the filing was pretty good, but I ended up getting sick immediately after. :-(
GF M&M's Cookie: Soft and yummy! However, I just tried this right after having the pecan pie to write this review. ☺ so still have gluten symptoms.
I wouldn't go back. I would not want to risk getting sick again. And it was a bit pricey too.

Tasty and delicious-- a bit pricy, but everything is made on site.

I would recommend this to my gluten friends. Very good selection of cookies, bundt cakes, cinnamon rolls. I had 3 wonderful items: Orange bunt cake, cinnamon roll with pecans, and lemon scone. Me: I'm highly sensitive to gluten! I know within 15 min of eating gluten. I ate 3 items here and did not have a reaction. I ran the big sur marathon while visiting Monterey. Staff: trained and have knowledge about gluten. Items are made in house on separate equipment then gluten, different ovens and different area then gluten. I decided to try it. I didn't react and I'm very sensitive. Orange bunt cake: Rocked!! Yummy. Moist and really good flavor. I would order it again and take 1 for the road!! Cinnamon roll: Good. You can get gf cinnamon roll with or without icing, with pecans or without. Nice to have options especially for gf people. I chose cinnamon bun with pecans and icing. I really liked the pecans and roll itself. My friend said it just as sweet as the regular gf ones. I'm not into really sweet things. I ordered it just because I've never had one and I always watched my friends eat these (at cinnamon bun in the mall). Now I know what it taste like. Lemon scone: Good. I liked it because it wasn't really sweet. I wish it had been more tart.
Yes
while they have several gluten free options they bake everything in the same environment. the staff didn't change their gloves and placed my fork directly on a gluten filled countertop. needless to say the only thing I felt safe consuming was a boxed orange juice. my husband are my $7 cinnamon roll and said it was dry and old tasting. I would stay safe and stay away!!!
Yummy pies and cookies! We had a GF berry pie and GF M&MS cookies. Both seriously yummy! They also have GF white and multigrain bread and sandwich fixings. Almost are lunch there, but we had PB&J in the car waiting for us. Decently priced. My son had the non-GF moon pie cookies. He wanted more! Love the fact they had their GF separated from reg. Highly recommended!
Very good cinnamon roll with frosting and m&m cookies. Gluten free items kept separate from other items.
I was disappointed in this place due to my high expectations. Gf cinnamon roll was small, dry and overpriced in my opinion. But I'm spoiled with a fantastic gf bakery back home (mariposa). I was grateful for the option, and they also had gf and vegan cookies. Worth a trip if you're in the neighborhood but not a destination joint.
Cinnamon Rolls, cookies, brownies in segregated containers away from the gluten items.
