Decided to order from them for New Year's Eve after reading other reviews. Called and asked about both Gluten free AND Dairy free food. I was told that just about everything on the menu was gluten free and if not could be modified. I decided on an order of Chicken and Cashew Stir fry, Kung Pao Beef and Lucky LoMein that they had to change the noodles. I didn't watch them cook it, so I can't say if they used separate facilities or if there was any cross contamination. I can say that I ate some of each order and didn't have any reactions.
The food was good, cooked quickly - and ready when I got there to pick up takeout. Staff was friendly also. Price was maybe a little high, but worth it knowing that I could enjoy with others and not have to worry. I would definitely go back.
I was impressed by their GF Menu and I to have such a wide variety of GF fried options was amazing! I started off with the deep fried Calamari was a delicious. Orange Peel Chick en and Mongolian Beef was delicious! The menu is extensive with the majority of the items being GF and clearly marked on the menu. The staff was knowledgeable and after taking my order read it back to me, then showed me her order tablet showing Gluten Allergy was clearly noted on all items, I told her that I appreciated her level of detail and how reassuring it is. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in AZ.
I've been to their sister restaurant Lings Wok Shop many times and love it! This was my first time at Ling and Louies and I loved it too! They have some of the same dishes as lings wok shop, and many different options such as the sushi, which I got. Both rolls were good and the soy sauce on the table was gluten free. The ginger margarita is fantastic and available at both restaurants.
I’m sad because I was so excited about this place but I ate the gluten free fried rice, gluten free pot stickers, and gluten free orange chicken and something definitely gave me a reaction. I’m confused because I’ve heard great things and the reviews here are good as well. I’m wondering if it was the dipping sauce for the pot stickers? But I ordered them gluten free so I assumed the sauce would be gf as well..
Ling and Louie’s is not a traditional Chinese restaurant but their dishes are highly influenced by Chinese cuisine . There are other Asian influences as well. Most of their items are gf or can be made gf except for the obvious items that have breading for example. All of the soy sauce is gf - so you don’t have to ask specifically. Great variety of entrees, appetizers and sushi rolls. I love sushi but don’t find their rolls to be that good. They don’t taste like a high quality fish and most of the fish in the rolls is chopped. But there is so much to choose from that you’ll never feel like you’re missing out. Highly recommend.
One of the largest gluten free menus I've seen. They take great care in cross contamination. We've eaten here several times and haven't had any issues. I love their crispy chicken in many dishes. Their lettuce wraps are very good. Lunch prices are reasonable. We've been here during covid also and they take good precautions. Many tables are closed which is nice. Outdoor seating also available, although it is very hot right now!
Almost whole menu is Gluten free or has gluten free option. Food was so good! Will be back.
When the server introduced herself as Taylor, I immediately remembered her name from the previous review. I showed her the review, and she was so excited to read it! As with the other diner, my experience was great! Many gluten-free options on the menu, and I experienced no side effects.
Hubby said it was the best cashew chicken he ever had. I had General Ling’s chicken which was very spicy (so I got the sauce on the side to tone it down a little), but so delicious! They even had a flourless chocolate cake! The young man who was the host had a great personality, and our server, Taylor, was attentive and knowledgeable. Will go again!
There were more items in their menu that were GF or GFO than weren’t. It was incredible! I had the Scallops with fried rice and hubby had the seasonal Sea Bass. Both were GF and both were out of this world! I HIGHLY recommend the flourless chocolate cake. It’s the kind of thing dreams are made of. I’m not kidding. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I’m crazy gluten sensitive and these guys know what they are doing when it comes to GF. Not even a teeny bit of cross contamination. The waiter was on it - he knew their gf capabilities inside and out. They even have different to go boxes for gf items (the black box). I’m thrilled to have found this place!
Decent GF selection, need more GF Vegan things but Kalbi sauce with tofu is yum, good service
With these other ratings I thought I was in for something spectacular and since my diagnosis of Celiac, I am not super hard to please. Plus i could have been an off night. But...the food was horrible, even my kids did not like theirs and they could live off Chinese. Plus, I got glutened. 3rd time like this in a 5 year diagnosis. We will never go back.
Really great food and service. The waitress was really knowledgeable and when she wasn't sure, she went back to the chef. My only complaint is that everything except the spicy tuna rolls needed modifications to make it GF, and those modifications were typically the removal of the sauce. I got the evil jungle princess and they had to keep the marinade off. It was still amazing, but I wanted to try the lettuce wraps and was told they'd have to be served dry.
Their lettuce wraps were delicios! Fun atmosphere and good options!
Great place. Great food and service. Had lettuce wraps, edamame, pad thai all were delicious!
Wonderful food! Love the GF Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Wasabi Mashed Potatoes!
Had a really fantastic meal at Ling and Louie’s at the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. I have Celiac Disease and they had lots of options and were very knowledgeable when asked about concerns. Might be some of the best airport food I’ve ever had. Would definitely go there again with no worries
