Stopped here after seeing all the positive reviews. The menu is mostly clearly marked, and the cashier said they could swap out a non-GF sauce for a GF one. Instead, they gave me the non-GF sauce, couldn’t say anything about cross-contamination, and they couldn’t tell me whether the potatoes they chose as default for my side were gf. We were passing through on a long drive, and I couldn’t take the chance of getting sick, so we ended up just throwing it out, which was really frustrating.
There was also some kind of long stem in my husband’s gyro that he choked on. Actually choked.
It was a really awful experience. It sounds like it was an anomaly, but it was a rough one. Can’t recommend this place.

Locavores is not really like any place I’ve been before. There’s a charming boutique market between the door and cash register selling candles, sauces, coffee, lotions, etc. The menu is pretty simple and everything costs about the same, which is kind of nice if you ever dither between the dish you really want and a cheaper alternative. There are some really intriguing flavor combinations or you can build your own bowl. They told me the meats were all GF and the sauces are clearly labeled, so I did feel safe and didn’t get sick afterward.

Stopped by here after a day hiking. Great salads. Fresh food that didn’t leave me overly full. All the meats are gluten free. The menu in the store is well marked by the register. They were very careful with cross contamination, specially with the corn tortillas (they warmed them in the over for me and not the steamer). Fun market to browse in- farmers market type products, some local, pretty pricey. Very nice feel inside, definitely recommend.

Great experience. GF options were clearly marked and the cashier was incredibly knowledgeable and very patient with us. We both enjoyed what we ordered. The cook did forget to swap gloves before preparing my order, but would have remade it for me if I had wanted. I didn't have a reaction, so all worked out.

Based on reviews here, I stopped by while traveling. They had sauces marked as GF but not the meats. I asked about the meats and the cashier said she didn't know. She turned to the woman next to her and asked and she's also did not know the answer. I left with my party of 6 without eating. If you can't answer the first basic question, I can't stay.

Problem here is that you really have to watch them.... make sure they change gloves. Suspect cross contamination is a likely problem....
Totally unsafe for celiac. Cross contamination at it’s worst.
No
An oasis for GF eats when traveling! Sort of like a chipotle-style setup, except not Mexican inspired. Choose your meat (all are GF), your base (brown rice, baked potato or corn tortillas are options) and all the yummy toppings you want. All GF dressings/sauces are labeled. I understand another reviewer’s concern about cross-contamination, but obviously unless the place is a dedicated GF restaurant of course you have to be aware to have them change their gloves. I got a gyro btw, over brown rice instead of a pita, and it was wonderful.
Not celiac friendly, lots of cross contamination.

Very fresh ingredients. Knowledgeable about Celiac. Our food preparer changed his gloves without being asked. Very friendly and the food was delicious!
