This was a great stop for food allergies! When I arrived I asked for an allergy menu, which contained all appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts and which allergens they had in each. It also explained the way it was prepped, ex. Grilled, fried, etc. There was a shared fryer, but a bunch of the sides and entrees were gluten free or could be modified to be gluten free.
When our waiter saw I had the allergy menu, he asked which allergies I had and what I was thinking about getting. He went back to the kitchen to talk to the chef and the manager to confirm what I was going to be ordering could be prepared safely. The manager even came out to assure me that they were using all clean utensils and that the chef would be preparing it himself.
I ended up getting the baby back ribs with a plain baked potato, but I had several options to choose from which is a huge win with allergies. The food and atmosphere was great, all around a lovely experience!
The "gluten free" menu is their allergen guide. Made it hard to pick items. The waitress did help when I asked about a new item on the menu that had no allergen information. My plate was brought out seperate from my family's plates as theirs contained gluten items. The food I had was delicious and well prepared.
The staff here was super educated! They had an intensive allergen menu to start, and at this location they actually have a gluten free fryer for fries, which is not the standard among Long Horn restaurants. So that was a super cool find! They ensured that the cooks use clean utensils/gloves when prepping any kind of allergy meal. I didn’t have any issues here despite having several severe food allergies!
