Very friendly folks here, but the marketing that the restaurant is "always GF" is misleading for those with celiac disease or a wheat allergy. They use Sami's bread and wraps, which since 2016 have included the following on the package — “Contains Gluten, Wheat and Yeast”. (There is a new loaf as of 2018 that is now marketed as GF, but others are still not GF. ) The bakery also states that: "They make it known to our customers that if they have a wheat allergy, sensitivity to gluten, or are celiac, NOT to consume our products.” This is a common issue in St. Pete - if a restaurant says they are GF ask what products they use and skip the bread and wraps if they are Sami's.
