My favorite place to get GF food that doesn’t make me feel ill. I go here more than I should. Service is always amazing, staff is knowledgable, and a majority of their menu is GF.

I'm a little surprised at the poor safety ratings without explanation. I am very sensitive and had not issues with the chop salad or tortilla chips. The staff was very knowledgeable and even showed me how they entered it as gluten free with allergy notation on the order. Will definitely be going back.

Always the best at keeping GF actually GF for my celiac daughter. The quest and chips are the best option and their salsas are fresh and delicious. Such a variety of GF items. By far one of the best GF restaurants in town!

Got the salmon and peach salad that was marked as gluten free. They served it with a slice of bread on it. When I said something they remade it right away though. Very good.

I've ordered a couple different gf items from Lucha Cantina's menu over several visits. When I let the staff know I required gf and no cross contact, they were very careful and accommodating. I still felt very welcome instead of like I was inconveniencing them. The gf food was delicious. Will definitely continue to give them my business.

If you have Celiac Disease, make sure you ask questions about the preparation process and how the food is cooked. They had an appetizer that said was GF but when I asked how they were cooked, the waitress said that they were deep fried and I asked if they had a dedicated GF fryer and they didn't. I ended up ordering the Rio Grande bowl with a side of sour cream and Pico de Gallo. I made sure to have the cook clean the grill really well before making the grilled chicken.

Unfortunately, I got so sick. This is no longer Celiac safe/friendly - when I called to speak with management they informed me of the "airborne wheat" used regularly and that "it's posted"🤦🏾♀

GF fried ice cream. And fried in a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination. Need I say more? Lots of GF options. Kitchen did not skimp on portions. Felt like a couple fillets just in the fish tacos I ate. Our server Jordan was great.

This place was great! So much of the menu was gf! The staff were very knowledgeable and they had separate fryers for gf items. They even had banners on their doors saying they had gf options.
The food was also really good! I got the chicken and spinach enchiladas. They even had a gf fried ice cream. It sounds weird but it's delicious.

I had the Nachos Puerco. They were delicious. Their chips are fried in their own fryer, a rare treat. The server was very knowledgeable. I’m Celiac.

I’ve been here probably ten times and haven’t had any problems with the nachos, queso/salsa dip combo, or 4 Meat Chili.
Most of the staff seem to know a lot about celiac disease which is excellent.

Staff is knows anout allergies. menu has gf designated items. Food was great. fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend. I will go back.
I have been going to Lucha Cantina for years. This is probably the safest place for Celiacs in the Rockford area. As long as you let your server know you are gluten free there should not be any problems. Most everything is gluten free to begin with except a few items like the flour tortillas and hamburger buns. I absolutely love this restaurant. The staff have become my friends and I feel completely welcome here every single visit. This is the place to go if you are gluten free as well as vegan or vegetarian. I could go on and on about how wonderful Lucha Cantina is, but I will stop now.

Everyone seems super familiar with gf and celiac. We eat here quite a bit because I can have their chips & quite a bit of their food. Over time they have switched owners & we think it's alot better than it used to be.
