Great service and a separate gluten free menu. They marked allergy on the ticket and I also asked about a separate water for the pasta. Very delicious!

Really good restaurant. I can only rate the salmon dinner. Gluten free and really tasty. I’ve eaten it many time and never have had any reactions.

onderful and Beautiful restaurant. I would have given 5 stars but the management needs to understand Gluten Free. We are a Celiac family. When the menu and the manager says an item is Gluten Free it needs to be gluten free as we, the Celiac society, trust the restaurant to understand what that means. We wanted the gluten free pasta and found out from the manager that the gluten free pasta is cooked in the same water that non-gluten free items are cooked in... In discussion with the manager I explained to him that he took gluten free pasta and changed it into non gluten free because of cross contamination by cooking it in contaminated water. The manager replied - “it’s debatable”. That was his reply to me who has been gluten free for over 20 years. This restaurant does not have a handle on gluten free food and all Celiacs must be careful if they decide to eat here until this restaurant overhauls their understanding of gluten free food.

They have a gluten free menu and the staff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination. They offer gf pasta and knew that it needed to be cooked in separate water. I had a veal dish that was wonderful and my husband had salmon that was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is very romantic, quiet and old world Italian.

A very good choice for GF food, especially because the area luxury hotels such as The Monarch Beach Resort and the Ritz Carlton are not GF friendly at all (even unbelievably in their spa cafe). Very disappointing offerings. So Luciana's is a lifesaver if you're staying at one of these two Dana Point resorts. Tasty food, lovely and very lively atmosphere, and you will feel extra safe with your own GF menu in hand with their commitment to avoid cross contamination. One star off for only offering one kind of GF pasta with all their dishes, no GF bread, and only sorbet for GF desert option. Other than that it's a great place.

We dined al fresco next to fire. The service was on point and the place has character. Inside on Sat night they had a musician playing. The gluten free menu fills up the front and back of a page. I enjoyed the gf pasta bolognese, and the house salad and beef carpaccio appetizer were good, not great, but good. I will definitely be back, loved the pasta and sauce.
