Lucky fish is a great little fish and chip shop. The service is super slow but they are well versed in coeliac safe, have a seperate fryer and will send you off with a yummy meal you will throughly enjoy.

Very sweet staff, definetly recommend the pepper lime calamari! Unfortunately they were sold out of the chips but all fish can be done safely! Food clearly labelled Coeliac when it came out :)

The menu is incredibly coeliac-friendly. They use a separate fryer, their batter seems to be GF, and most of their items can come battered instead of crumbed.

On top of that, the food was quite possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life - even compared to non-GF options! The calamari was restaurant-quality, the fish was so tender and juicy, and the potato scallop had the most beautiful crunch.

Will be very sad to leave this place behind - wish I could make this a takeaway staple!

Friendly and helpful staff, explained which options are gluten free, advised there was a separate fryer, which I knew from other reviews. Also, they have to turn on the gf fryer, so it takes about 10mins to heat up, this reassures no other food is cooked in this fryer!

Was cooked perfectly and very tasty for a GF batter on the Coral Trout, so nice to have a normal looking meal, very good with a separate fryer for GF cooking, highly recommend this little restaurant

SUCH friendly staff who are happy to answer any questions.

Amazing lemon pepper calamari and potato scallops that actually taste like potato! I also tired their ‘super’ salad which was DELICIOUS.

Chips are average but everything else was scrumptious. Highly recommend!

Separate gf fryer - not signposted anywhere though! The menu doesn’t identify GF items either so be sure to ask staff what can be made GF.

Excellent battered gf fresh fish ( barramundi, coral trout, or Spanish mackerel when we visited), salt and pepper calamari, and chips cooked in seperate fryer. Highly recommend.

Lovely fish and chips! If you tell them that you are coeliac they use a separate frier which avoid contamination. There are 3 different fish that you can try. The place is really easy going so don’t expect a restaurant. It closes at 8pm (in winter) better the there before 7.30 pm.
