Cannot recommend, will not go again; here's why:

So if you ordered a glass of red wine with your meal, but they served you white, you may express surprise, and explain the discrepancy with your server, who says they are out of red, white is all they have, and walks away;

and the next thing you know the manager is at your table explaining that each is made from the same ingredients so it doesn't make a difference.

Would that bother you?

This in essence was our experience, and it is the perfunctory, "you don't really factor into our agenda" approach that turned the entire dining experience into something unpalatable.

We tried to explain to both Jay, the manager, and Tiffany our server, that the underlying cause of the presenting problem (under-stock, delayed shipments, etc.) is understandable but it would have been appropriate, and a kindness to have informed us that our' choices are not available when we ordered, not when the substitute is on the your table before you and the server is acting shocked and surprised that you're not too happy with THEIR choice of what you will be having as/ with your meal.

If you ordered lasagna and they served all the same ingredients but in the form of spaghetti you may be similarly bemused. Sub. penne for pizza? Same thing.

In this writing, wine was used as an illustration; the switch off was penne (which I do not eat), for fusilli, which until today, we specifically and frequently visit Lui Luis for.

It is the hustle and bustle of frenetic activity which is this restaurant more often than not because they are understaffed, yet still want to open both dining areas so their ultimate experience for the evening is nice, even at the expense of mine, that caused the problem; being so busy and ill-prepared to handle post-pandemic dining, that the reason you are in business (to serve a nice experience to paying guests) is displaced by the goal of gotta ring as many orders in as possible tonight.

No, this isn't my mother's dinner table where you eat what is served, and are wrong to question. It was a paid for dining experience, gone sour and bad, largely due to insensitivity before and during our visit ... and this before starting a 12 hour shift as a nurse in which two of the meals we ordered were to serve as break time meals. Jay's offer to refund a portion did little to make up for the fact that wen you go out for dinner, you expressly want what you ordered, and not some executive's idea of what you'll have for dinner. Communication at the outset would have gone a hugely long way. Inexcusable, Lui Luis. Unacceptable.
