Manager came out to take my order after discussing allergy I had, insuring cross contamination was handled on all fronts. Food was delicious as ever and we LOVE the atmosphere here.
Enjoyed the grouper sandwich and yellow rice. Also enjoyed the chips with queso. Manager came out to take my order to ensure my meal was made safely. Felt very comfortable and really enjoyed the food. We really liked our server too. Great experience and highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience. Informed the server of the gluten issue and at that point, the manager took over. He explained the possible cross contamination risks with certain dishes. They have a separate kitchen for allergen orders. Food was very good. Overall a perfect experience. We will be visiting often.

I have eaten here many times with no reaction. Burgers, tacos etc but did have a shrimp Caesar salad that gave me some problems recently. I will stay away from it but still over all safe place. Some managers are more careful, thorough and knowledgeable when taking your separate order.

We had such a good experience. They have a separate allergy menu and said the manager was required to take all allergy orders. They also said they had a separate kitchen for allergies to prevent cross contamination. I had pork nachos and they were delicious. Would definitely go back.
This place is incredible! Has been a favorite of mine since they started in 1999. 3/4 of our family found out we are celiac in 2020, and I found out Lulu’s was good for those with celiac. This has been our favorite restaurant since then. They have a manager come out and take the order, take extreme precautions throughout the process, and then the manager delivers the food with gloves on. They have many great GF options. Our favorites are the shrimp nachos, shrimp or fish tacos, and the grouper/shrimp combo. Several of us are symptomatic, even with cross contamination, have eaten here multiple times, and have never had an issue.

Lulu’s is extremely cautious with allergies of all kinds. They have a menu that lists each top 8 and what you can have that’s safe for your allergy. The food comes out entirely separately and on different (identifiable) plates. The bbq was delicious and the vegetables as well. The atmosphere, the safety of the food and everything about this is a 10.
Ate here yesterday for lunch and this was the exact experience you want to have when dealing with celiac or any allergy for that matter. If you have an “allergy” only the manager will take your order and bring your food to you. The manager was very knowledgeable and answered my questions about the chips if there would be cross contamination if they fried them with other gluten foods, he assured me they are made in their own area. So I had the smoked tuna dip that came with corn chips-so good. Then I opted to get a side salad with honey mustard dressing which was very good, and I got the jerk chicken sandwich which was also very good!! It came with grilled pineapple, Swiss, bacon and house made honey mustard dressing, on a gluten free bun. Would definitely go back!!
They take food allergies seriously! A manager has to come to the table and take your order on a special card. Great options for any diet
Atmosphere is really nice. They have a manager take your order if there is an allergy. The pulled pork sandwich was so delicious, we went back a second time to get it again. Only thing they slack on is the sides.
Had an evening meal at the bar, as the wait for a table was over 20 minutes. Safety protocols are in place and they have a manager come to take your order. Safe food and everything was good. They have beautiful views!! If it’s hot, be warned, it’s outdoor but covered seating with fans. If it wasn’t so busy, I’m sure we would have enjoyed ourselves even more. Will visit here again!
I really liked it. I asked for the allergen menu and got a specific menu with a lot of gluten free options. The manger by himself came to take my order and wrote it on a separate red paper. They took really care about contamination (even told me that they have 2 separate kitchens). The food was amazing and also the atmosphere was great. I really recommend this restaurant to every celiac.
Had a great and safe experience at Lulu’s Destin! We’ve been to the Gulf Shores location several times and our experience in Destin was just as great. Many options for my kids and the manager came out to take our order as always!
Everyone here is amazing and very sensitive to food allergies. They have a separate menu for allergies that you can ask for when you are being seated. They put your order on a special red paper and your order is taken by the manager. The food is great. If you don't want your fish and shrimp spicy, I'm sure you can ask them to take it easy on the spices. Everything was delicious. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. And the view was fabulous!
First time at Lulu’s and so impressed! When I asked about a gf menu my server explained that someone would be over to talk and take my order separately from the rest of my party. Manager came over, explained their protocols and took my order. Smoked tuna app and the shrimp tacos were both delicious and I had no issues after! Thank you Lulu’s for such a great experience. We’ll definitely be back when visit Destin!
Another great experience at Lulu’s. I’ve eaten at the Gulf Shores location a few times and am glad the Destin restaurant follows the same precautions with allergies. Why can’t every eatery offer this level of customer service?!
My go-to is the grilled shrimp tacos with an added side of black beans. Filling and tasty with relaxing views of the bay! Stress melts off my shoulders, not worrying what to eat and soaking in the beach vibe.
My travel companion had the grilled grouper on toasted GF bun one day and the next had the burger on GF bun with a wide selection of fixings.

Went on vacation recently and felt very safe at Lulu’s. We even came back a 2nd time. Ordered Blackened mahi mahi with black beans the first night and seafood nachos the 2nd night.
Amazing! They take allergies very seriously, manager takes your order and brings the food to you. Lots of options! Taste amazing! Very busy with a long wait but worth it!
My favorite place ever. Huge allergy menu!! I got a cheeseburger on a gf bun and seasonal fruit. The manager herself took my order!! The manager is also the one who brought me my food. They have a separate place where allergy food is prepared. Always delicious!
Excellent experience!!! They have an extensive Allergy menu (including apps) and they take it very seriously. The manager takes all allergy orders and delivers the orders to the table. They have separate prep areas and gluten free buns for sandwiches.
We ate here twice during our Spring Break vacation in Destin. If you are hungry and have Celiac or allergies LuLu's is safe!!

The manager came and took our order to ensure everything was made correctly. He brought our food out too. Looks like they treat everyone with a food allergy this way. Their food allergy menu was great! I would eat here again and again.
Much like the North Myrtle Beach location, the Destin, FL location menu and gf food handling did not disappoint. The manager must take your allergy order and deliver it. They have to wear gloves when they bring it to the table. All gf food is prepared separately from the other food and all allergy prep is done separately from the rest of the kitchen. Large menu that has more than just salad and rice options. Gluten-free buns are excellent toasted and buttered too perfection.
However, we visited this location on a Monday in late March and it was a 2 hour wait for a table and then once seated and meal ordered 40 minutes for our gf burgers to come to the table. The non gf eater got their food, ate, finished, and had their plate cleared all before our food even reached our table. No compensation just a “sorry the kitchen is busy.” We arrived at 6 PM and expected a wait for the table but the food didn’t arrive until close to 9 PM and that’s just not acceptable.
All that said, we will likely come back to this restaurant when in the area because you can’t beat the GF food handling safety.
They have a huge gluten free menu and the waitstaff was very knowledgeable about cross contamination. The manager comes out and takes the gluten free order, they prepare it in a separate part of the kitchen, and brings it out separately. We were so relieved to know that my husband was safe to eat here. Did not feel any "glutened" affects over 24 hours later. Plus - AWESOME views and great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I have Celiac and a dairy allergy and they took my needs very seriously!! I had a hamburger that was the best burger I have had in years! I ate chips and salsa with it which was very good. I was very impressed when my husband ordered queso and the manager brought the queso out separately so he did not contaminate my meal. We ate here 5 times in 6 days! I highly recommend LuLu’s!! I wish we lived closer so we could come here regularly!
Wonderful! Can’t say enough good things about lulu’s. Food was delicious. They have a gf menu - you let your waiter know you are ordering gf and the manager comes to the table to explain the gf choices & personally takes it to the kitchen. They have a dedicated gf food prep in the kitchen. Aside form the food, the setting in beautiful- right on the water- a fun place to eat

The service was wonderful and they definitely cater to those with multiple food allergies. The manager takes allergy orders separately and they take all the necessary precautions to protect you. I had a question and when they did not know they called corporate to make sure the ingredients were safe to consume. The food was excellent and would definitely recommend going there.

I found this place on the app with great reviews so had to try. Excellent food and experience! I asked for an allergy menu when we checked in and they have an entire book with pages for each allergy. I asked the server about how allergy orders are handled and she said that a manager would come to the table to take my order and they have a separate area where allergy food is prepared. The manager did come take my order, explained to me about procedures, and brought my order out separately. I even got my food before the rest of my family. I got the grilled chicken tenders which were seasoned and very tasty. I also had green beens, chips snd white queso. Everything was excellent and we all want to go back. Highly recommend and felt safer than ever. I am celiac and very careful to avoid cross contamination.
Protocols are awesome - food is fine. We told the waitress we have celiac so she got the manager. The manager took our order on red slips, and our food came out on unique plates. So we loved that! It’s massive - crazy and loud and fun - food was pretty good - not amazing but fine. Sunset would be a fun time to be here!
Great Experience!! They not only have a gluten-free menu, but they have a special cook that will come take your order, cook your order and serve your order on a glass plate, separately from every one else’s!! You will feel special instead of “left out”!! I’m sorry I didn’t ask his name!!! He was so sweet and made me feel good about my choices!! ❤🥰❤ I’m new to Celiac Disease, but this is by far the most caring place I’ve been to!

We had an amazing experience at Lulu’s! By far, the safest dining experience we have had for Celiac/allergies! They have a separate allergy menu with a wide variety of options, the manager comes out to take your order and walk you through any questions and hand delivers your food as well! Highly recommend this place to anyone with dietary restrictions!

Waiter does not take your order. Manager came out and discussed my dietary restrictions and answered all questions about the menu items and then takes your order. Large gluten free menu. Manager then was the person to bring out my food and came back to check on me. This is the second time I have gone to Lulus and will 100% return again.
I had high hopes from all the great reviews, but I ended up having a reaction before I finished my entree. While the manager did come talk to us, it seemed like our waitress was him do it more as a formality as she took my order then the manager followed behind us listening to us repeat them. The waitress seemed visibly unhappy to wait on us repeating the order and her having to stand around while we did. While the entree was brought out by the manager, the chips and queso was not and it was after finishing some of that that I began to have trouble breathing, felt nauseated, etc. A few red flags I ignored and paid the price for it. I say if your waitstaff/manager isn't paying you much attention or don't seem to be taking your GF needs seriously ask to sit somewhere else as I feel this reaction may have been an isolated incident at this Lulu's location.
We ate here 3 times this past week. As others have stated, they take allergies seriously. We felt very comfortable with their process and my son enjoyed the GF options. We do wish they had GF fries/dedicated fryer. Would highly recommend.
For safety, I would say it’s 5 stars. We ate here three times on our trip because of safety. I only give it 4 stars since they do not have a dedicated fryer so you can only get grilled items. It was good though, and you can’t beat the measures they have in place. They have a separate prep area and the manager takes your order. If you have other allergies, there were several pages listed in the menu for egg free, etc. For future trips, we’ll eat here. The atmosphere is great.

Very very impressed with how they handled the seriousness of a GF request. Our waiter wasn’t even allowed to take our order once we mentioned being GF. The manager came over and took the order. She said she gives it to the head chef and he personally cooks the food and tells her when the food is ready then she brought it to the table. The food was hot and delicious. Highly recommend.
Visited here for the second time. Honestly can’t remember what happened the first time but I do know the manager came over to take and give me my order. Today was a different story. Manager did take order but did not bring it out. I walked by manager half way through eating and he asked if my food came out. He said he was supposed to bring it out. I got sick immediately after eating here. The food is way overpriced (paying for the atmosphere) and I got sick. Won’t be dining here again.
Lulu's staff were knowledgeable and seemed to take dietary needs seriously. They provided an allergen free menu. There was a page dedicated to each allergen, gluten free, egg free, shellfish free, dairy free, soy free. The server took the general orders and a manager came over to take celiac orders. The manager also served the celiac meals separately from other meals. There was a sense of safety at Lulu's and I would recommend this establishment.
