Was really excited to try this place but became really sick 3 hours after my meal. I told the waitress I had a gluten allergy and she assured me that the chips were fried in a separate fryer and I could get corn tortillas for any taco. I had the pollo, carne asada, and sweet potato black bean taco. Not sure what got me sick out of those things but pretty upset. If you are celiac I would be careful trying this place!

2023 Review: No change, this place is still great! I will say, make sure you have a reservation. They seem to be getting even more popular, so we've not been able to just "walk in" the last two times we've tried. The food that is labeled as GF seems to still be safe!
2022 Review: I'm a big fan of their salsas & their tacos taste like the ones I get down south.
They're not a dedicated facility, so I'm definitely careful to always call out my celiac. That being said, I've eaten here 6+ times & never gotten sick.

LUNA!!!! Amazing and delicious! We had Nick as our server and he was fantastic. I’m a celiac and very careful. We had the Salsa Flight + Queso, margarita’s and we tried a few of the tacos (steak, pork, sweet potato & black bean, and shrimp). The shrimp was my favorite! Loved the steak and the sweet potato and black bean. All come on corn tortillas. Don’t pass up on the Salsa Flight! Endless chips, 3 salsa’s, pico and we added the queso. Delicious!!! Luna ranks on the top of my list of favorite GF restaurants along with 7 Monks in GR. ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»

I got takeout here and it was very expensive! The tacos were corn tortillas and were good. I have felt fine so far. But the salsa was not good, I was missing the guacamole I ordered, and it came with lots of unlabeled sauces which I was unsure about. Overall, way too expensive for what you actually get.

Ate here about a year ago now, forget to leave a review as I got sick. Ordered tacos and chips and salsa, but I did share the chips with a table of people who ordered some dishes with gluten in them. I also ate with my hands and forgot to wash my hands before. I personally believe I got sick from the table/chair I used having crumbs from previous meals and me not being more diligent about cleaning my hands and keeping them clean before the meal, but there's a chance it was the food itself. I have not been brave enough to try going again based on my past experience.

I ate here twice on my trip to GR and had a great experience both times! I did not get sick. Both servers were knowledgeable about cross contamination and told me the grill is cleaned if you specify that you have celiac disease. I got the chicken and shrimp tacos as well as the classic and mango margaritas.

Great choice for dinner. Lots of the fried things (chips, flautas, etc.) were okay and not cross contaminated.

The menu is not labeled but the waiter was helpful. The chips are safe (yay). Some of the beans are soaked in beer. The queso has the beer beans in it but they can give you it without. The beans in the sweet potato black bean tacos are not in beer and are indeed GF. Very good!

I have celiac and have eaten at Luna several times without any issues. Almost everything on their menu is gluten free. Servers have been knowledgeable about cross-contamination and identifying the few items on the menu that contain gluten. The black beans contain gluten, which is strange to me. But the deep fried tortilla chips are fried in a safe fryer and are amazing. Highly recommend.

Called to ask about the family meal option and whoever the girl was on the line was the nicest! She told me that for one, the meal was made to be gluten free friendly. And to make it safe from cross contamination, she told me to put a note on my online order and she would make sure it gets relayed to the kitchen since she was taking the tickets. They wiped down the grill for me, and made extra rice for my order, since the beans contained beer and I wouldn’t be able to eat them. The food was so delicious!! Will definitely be ordering from here more than other taquerias in the area.

Luna is one of my favorites in town. Most of the menu is naturally GF, there are only a few items that have gluten. The queso is GF as long as you get it without beans (they put beans in the bottom of the dish and queso on top and the beans are made with beer) but they are always happy to serve it without beans. They have a dedicated frier so the chips and flautas are GF as well. I have eaten here so many times and have never gotten sick, plus the staff is always very friendly and helpful! Love this place

We had a great server who was very much aware of celiac disease and confident the kitchen could accommodate. I had the chips and guacamole and quinoa salad. It was delicious and I felt great afterward. Not to mention, their margaritas are totally safe and delicious!

Tortilla chips are GF but cannot have queso as it has beer in it. Otherwise the menu has a great selection of GF items if getting with corn. Menu not listed for GF but can ask the server.
Staff was extremely kind and knowledgeable about gluten free options and cross contamination. Had the tacos, chips, and guacamole with no issues. Watch out for beans, they are marinated in beer. Excellent selection of gluten free margaritas on Mondays.
