This concept is great, I love that everything is gluten free and pretty healthy. In theory the menu looked awesome, the online website looked nice.
My husband and I went here to try it out and when we walked in the place seemed a bit run down, kind of had a funky smell to it. There was absolutely no one in there except the person behind the counter. The food looked like it had been sitting out for a long time.
You know restaurants like chipotle and subway how they have all the ingredients behind glass in metal containers with scoops? That’s what this place is like but at busy places those bins are getting refilled with fresh stuff constantly. The ingredients here looked pretty sad and dried out like they had been sitting there all day, the container of guac was completely brown.
Our bowls tasted alright but when we got home we both had stomach issues and my husband isn’t even celiac or gluten intolerant, so that leads me to believe it was because of old food/sanitary issues.
I think this concept is awesome but maybe the location doesn’t get enough customers or maybe they need to hire more people. Not sure what the deal is but I honestly wouldn’t recommend coming here. It’s gluten free but in my honest opinion it’s not fresh and kinda nasty.
Delicious and safe! Everything was gluten free and almost everything was dairy free. Even my non gf friends loved it ! Key west chicken with sesame noodles, garlic green beans, mushrooms, and cilantro vinaigrette! Absolutely delicious! And no reaction! Chocolate chip cookie was delicious! Friends loved the zucchini brownie even though it was gf and they aren’t! This place is awesome
Totally fresh and flavorful food. A wonderful variety of flavors. And shockingly, every single thing in the kitchen is gluten-free. Everything I tried was delicious. My favorites that I got were the coconut rice, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and tofu. The glass noodles were fabulous, but I'm going to take them home to heat them up since they are served chilled. The chicken was very flavorful, but I prefer leaner pieces so I will probably skip that protein next time. My favorite sauces were the teriyaki and the orange sauce with black sesame seeds. The employees are very kind and helpful. I can't wait to come back.
Great food and staff! We look forward to returning and appreciate the variety of food.
Great, safe food. Fresh ingredients. The meat is good quality too. I don’t know how this place makes money!!
Absolutely amazing!! Best place I’ve been since being diagnosed. Feeling safe is always great but the food and desserts being amazing makes this place even better! I ordered a bunch of different things to try and loved all of it! Snickerdoodle cookies are insane! Very friendly staff!
Stopped by Mahana while traveling through Atlanta and we weren’t disappointed. Dedicated GF bowl type meals. Ample choices and variety as it relates to bases, proteins, sides, and sauces. Wholesome meal and our son did not feel sick afterwards. Check this place out if you’re ever in Atlanta!
I ate there yesterday with friends who do not need to avoid gluten. We all enjoyed our food. It is very tasty and there is quite a variety. The owners were very helpful and friendly. I felt like they cared a great deal about making our lunch enjoyable and safe. I felt the portions were generous.
Mahana Fresh was awesome. I had the chicken gyro bowl and it was amazing. My daughter had made her own bowl and she loved it and my wife had the ahi tuna with a wasabi sauce that was delicious. We spoke to the owner and he was very nice. He is dedicated to a completely GF menu. They will be expanding their GF selection to GF beer soon. This is a must eat for anyone GF.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING omg everything is gluten free and they have so many options!!! my favorite there are their honey Sriracha brussle sprouts. but everything there is amazing they also have really good cookies and brownies too! if you are in atlanta you should definitely stop by here! i think they have a few other locations in GA too!
My son (wheat anaphylactic) used to absolutely love this place as a safe dedicated GF location in Charlotte. In fact we would drive 45 min to eat there. Unfortunately they have now introduced wheat/gluten wraps (and they have a GF option) to this menu. This is no longer dedicated GF or worth the risk. Super disappointed. Changing my rating from 5 to 2 as they can’t claimed dedicated GF anymore.
