We went because of previous reviews. The server was very helpful once she knew my husband was celiac. She guided him through the selections. When the food came she even stated this is gluten free and gave me mine and said this is not. Very very helpful, great atmosphere. We would definitely go back.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have eaten here many times and never had an issue. Tell your waiter and they’ll take care of you.
They do a very good job of gluten free and have nearly half of their menu available gluten free. Spouse is very sensitive to cross contaminating, but she has not gotten sick eating here after about our 10th visit over a year or so. Food is delicious. Thai, Vietnamese, and a few other flavors.

Today was the second time I’ve eaten here and have nothing but great things to say. Lots of options, clearly marked, with accommodating staff that is happy to help and answer questions. Food was fantastic! I am a very sensitive celiac and had no issues. Highly recommend.
A fantastic place. Fresh, delicious food and loads of gf options to choose from.
Fantastic food in a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of gluten free labeled on the menu. Everything we ate was fresh and tantalizing. Had the chicken satay, the lemongrass beef, beef curry. Super sensitive celiac and did not get sick. Precautions taken change out a gf sauce for peanut sauce. Did not miss the peanut sauce.
Service was excellent. Definitely a go to place.

I frequent this place often and never had any issues! The servers are super accommodating and the menu is marked with what is or can be made gluten free.
The best Asian fusion I’ve had in a while! Unique flavors and memorable dishes that we’ll be back for. Majority of the menu is GF so you have a LOT to choose from, including a coconut cream pie for dessert. It seems they’ve built their model based on accommodating allergies too, so I felt safe. The only thing I may be wary of is the little rice appetizer they bring out - bc it wasn’t prepared with celiac in mind. So excited I found this place!
Never had any issues here and have eaten here several times. They sub sauces when you tell them GF. They do everything, change gloves, change utensils. The servers are always very knowledgeable when I have went.
They brought me food with gluten. They didn’t seem to be listening to me. We had different servers check up on us instead of the same person.
Great selection of gluten free offerings. But no gluten free fryer. Do not know if it is celiac friendly or not. My three star rating came from the food and the no gf fryer. Its basically more vietnamese style cooking....basically grilled meat and noodles. The chicken pad thai was nothing like the chicekn pad thai Ive had at other places. It had no sauce and didnt resemble chicken pad thai flavor ive had other places. So if youre in that area and crave vietnamese style asian food...go for it. Its just not for me. Basically there seemed to be nothing here you couldnt get at any other vietnamese style restaurant. The hostess did think vegan was somehow gluten free. So there is that. But the waiter seemed to kmow about it ok.
Asian fusion - staff was aware of celiac and took precautions. Gluten free rice noodles and sauces.

Gluten intolerant, NOT celiac. Menu is clearly marked with gluten-free options (tons!!), even alcoholic beverages!
Tried this restaurant for the first time based on the reviews here on the app. I was a little hesitant, but the food was not just safe, it was INCREDIBLE! The server was knowledgeable, and could easily tell us what sauces we could or could not have, etc. Many things on the menu are able to be safely made gluten free. The ambiance was incredible, and if the weather is nice I’d say it’s got a great little patio for a meal. I will be coming here again. Phenomenal, I felt so normal, which is difficult for me at times as a Celiac trying to dine out!
I tested the Pad Thai with my Nima Sensor and no gluten found!
Update - been back a few times. I had the yellow curry and coconut soup. Delicious, no reactions and they get Celiac!!
When I wrote my original review I was extremely early in my celiac diagnosis and did not understand how to self advocate, and frankly also probably got an alcoholic beverage that had gluten or was reacting to something else I was sensitive to at the time. I have eaten at Malai many many times since and even when ordering takeout, they have never messed up my order and I have not gotten sick.
Their menu indicates that many of their items can be made gluten free, however there is no evidence of precautions taken for celiacs. I informed my waitress of my condition and she seemed aware of the severity of celiac yet did not explain any accommodations the restaurant would take for me. Unfortunately it appears whatever was in my food ended up containing gluten (or at a minimum was cross contaminated). I am a recently diagnosed celiac and used to love this restaurant before my diagnosis. I am willing to try again but I recommend proceeding with caution and avoiding items that the chefs could more easily use a gluten-containing item in by mistake.
One of my FAVORITE places!! Their pad thai is SO good! I have never gotten sick and have probably eaten here close to 100 times. My mom also has celiac and eats here all the time as well, and she’s never gotten sick from them. We both get very sick with “glutened.” The tofu is NOT gluten free, and I used to have to remind them to leave it off the pad thai when ordering, but I believe they have resolved this because it has been close to a year since I’ve had to do that.
