Martini Italian Bistro

My husband made a reservation for four of us and pre-ordered my gluten free lasagna. When we arrived at the restaurant tonight, we were told our reservation could not be found and that I would not be able to order my gluten free lasagna. This is the second time this has happened in a year and a half. I was very disappointed but more than that, I am mad about the way they made my husband feel.

My daughter has celiac- she attended an event and had a gluten-free meal ordered and explained that she was celiac. Had an almost immediate gluten reaction.

Update: I actually ended up working here for a few months. I am even MORE impressed by the food, the ownership, the chefs, and the staff that will take great care in accommodating dietary needs. They can modify most things on the menu to be be gluten free for you since everything is made to order (no pizza though). I never had any issues eating here. The gluten free pasta is outstanding and the variety is wonderful! There's at least 3 GF desserts as well.

The house salad is marked GF on the menu. I ordered it without Gorgonzola and tested the dressing with my Nima. It tested positive for gluten. I did let the manager know about this but I didn’t receive any confirmation that this would be removed as a GF item. As for the GF pasta, I have ordered it several times and it’s hit or miss whether the instructions to use GF are followed. You can’t rely on the GF markings on the menu or even that instructions will be followed, and need to double check that your order is actually made GF. They only have one GF pasta type to my knowledge so it should be easy enough to confirm.

Pasta options. Staff knowledgeable. Provided Gf crackers for anti-pasta appetizer!

Amazing place. Good offering of gluten free choices considering they are an Italian eatery.

The have gluten free pasta but the entree’s are not gluten free. I asked if the sauce was gluten free and when the waiter hesitated then said he will make it that way, I should have known. Very sick after eating there.

went here last night!! i have dairy and gluten problems, and the staff was accomodating to both. also, their cocktails are great, as well as their wine selections. I recommend their rose, as well as their lemon drop cocktail!!!

Went for Mothers Day, over an hour to bring food. Ordered Gluten Free Salmon pasta and it was terrible. Pasta was so over cooked there wasn't a whole noodle in the bowl. Big bowl of mush. Have eaten there many times and have had bad experiences the last two times.

Waiter took the time to understand my concerns. Was very knowledgeable of celiac issues and alerted the kitchen. Excellent food. Highly recommend.

My meal was amazing! I had the pork chop and the dessert (chocolate raspberry torte) was out of this world! They also have gluten free pasta.

Incredible restaurant! They were very knowledgeable about Celiac safe GF. They were able to answer all our questions appropriately. The manager came out to double assure us of their GF standards and answer additional questions. They additionally accommodated by making / customizing dishes not exactly listed on the menu. 4 dessert options that were GF!

Fantastic GF experience! Great food and great service. Brandon, the manager, spoke to us about how they make every effort to avoid cross contamination and provide a quality dining experience no matter the dietary restrictions. The experience was safe, tasty and relaxing. The GF pasta in alfredo sauce was delicious. The waitress surprised me at the end of the meal with a GF dessert made of a raspberry cream over a flourless chocolate cake.

Delicious! Perfect for celebrating a special occasion. Be sure to tell them if you are dairy free because our server said they put cheese on everything by default. Same for vegetarian or vegan - she said they make a note and the chef accommodates accordingly when preparing your dish. She did a great job accommodating our needs!

Every dish but the lasagna can be made gluten free. The executive chef brought out our food and specified that mine was gluten free when he set it down. I had the pasta rosa which was very good. The portions were perfect as well.

OMG-FANTASTIC!!! Great pasta, all food is fresh cooked so you can order to taste. My favorite place in Louisville (try the salmon pasta!)
